How does your installer put on your window tint film on the front windscreen? Does he take off the rear view mirror
or cuts a line above the mirror to join the film together? My installer ripped off the mirror and after putting on the
film as a whole piece, he reglued it back. My problem is that the mirror has dropped off twice! Loctite glue was used
    on both occassions.

Well in this state (PA) it is illegal to put tint on the front window, but it sounds like your tint guy is not too good at his job, you can't glue a mirror mount to anything but GLASS and with SPECIAL mounting glue available at ANY automotive supply store...

Front window tint is ok where I stay. After the mirror dropped off, I notice that there is an original black patch on the windscreen.
Kind of like a hard piece of thin plastic that has been originally glued on by Ferrari. It is on this part that the mirror is mounted on.

From the factory, they use a mirror adhesive for the backing plate and the mirror slides onto that backing plate. I suspect the adhesive is designed specifically for metal to glass contact -- not metal to 'plastic film'.

Oh...the film isnt covering the backing plate. Installer did cut a hole around it. Yup, I understand what u are saying.
The mirror mount is glued onto the plate and the mirror slides over it. Somehow, the mounting clip is falling off the backing plate,
even with the best loctite glued and leaving it to set overnite too.

I would try either JB weld or the under water marine glue known as "mr. sticky". The latter is probably better - I have used Mr. Sticky in many cases and the bond (once dry for a few days) is just about unbreakable.. You might also try VHB tape, since it would provide some level of cushion against vibration.

There is a special solvent that you need to use to unglue the mirror mount pad from glass and clean the area. You also need special mirror mount glue to glue it back into place. Any competant windshield glass shop can do this at minimal cost. Wrong type glue will not stick properly and will contaminate the area. If the mirror mounting pad has been contaminated or damaged, then you can buy new one for a few dollars from Ferrari dealer, then ask a good windshield glass shop to properly clean the glass and glue the new mount back into place. See item 3 in the diagram, part #65695500.

When removing the mirror, it may have loosened the backing plate. We've done this quite often and have not had any issues. Just have to be careful in not using too much pressure when removing the mirror from the backing plate.
