My 308 trunk lifts are loosing their stamina. Anyone know there's a place I can send them in for recharge? Thank you in advance and what about turn around time.

Although I can’t recommend a place for you as I’m located in Australia, what I can say is that I had a mobile guy come to me and he did mine on the spot..This was 10 odd years ago and they still work perfectly well.

From memory the cost was $80 for the pair which is probably comparable with a new pair but I wanted to keep the original ones which have the Ferrari logo on them..

If you want the Ferrari Logo - you will have to have them recharged. If you don't: https://www.amazon.com/BOXI-Supports-1982-1985-1985-1989-SG237001/dp/B01FS3TXDI

Thorn on this site recommended them in another thread and they are excellent! Much better than the more expensive "famous name" struts I had on the car previously that would barely hold the lid open on a warm day after I pushed it fully ope; on a cold day it would just fall closed after opening it fully. The Boxi's have no trouble holding it open on a cold day and, on a warm day, they will lift the hood on their own once it is open about 12-14 inches.

I used Strutwise to recharge the engine cover struts about 5 years ago on the 328 I owned at the time. https://strutwise.com/ Recharging allowed me to retain the original Ferrari-branded struts. Located in greater Vancouver, BC but does world-wide business. Jon

Sent my original to Strutwise also about 6 years ago and it’s still holding up strong today.

Boxi struts showed up last night so I took them into the garage to check length of the pair currently on the car.. damned if the ones attached didn’t say “Ferrari” on them. 12 years of ownership and never really looked (or cared). Now I want to have them re-charged also! Still the Boxi struts are a terrific value at $22.00 us. :)
