Cool anyway you look at it.. I would imagine it was taken from 495 in queens, heading west.. something tells me it is shopped though..too good Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, it is for sure not from this year. The Empire State building has now LED lighting, and this photo still has the old lighting system.
I doubt it's photoshopped. Fireworks are synchronized, so it's natural that they would show up like this if the picture is taken at the right time. There are also some uneven areas and imperfections that make it seem as if it hasn't been retouched. If it's possible that the thing can happen in real life, it can also be photographed. There is nothing about this picture that is not possible. I don't know for sure, of course, but I don't see why someone can't get a lucky shot? What's appearing photoshopped about it? The sharp focus? The contrast? The timing? The billowing clouds in the background (probably from previous fireworks or rising from where the fireworks are launched)?
These were posted elsewhere and immediately became the subject of a "Chopped or not" discussion.... Orcas are big! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Certainly i do not know for sure either But take the angle here The fireworks themselves were about a half mile behind the Skyline of buildings that we see foemost In the pic That would lower the peak height visually The vanishing point behind those buildings Appears or would appearhigher and higher As the camera is lower than the peaks This leads me to believe that the fireworks Would not be able to achieve the height neccessary To give the look you see I say shopped
