hi to fellow SG ferrari owners where do you go for paint touch up? i got 2 small dots from stone chips. thanks
Heard its much more than just stone chip. Heard yr 430 got scratched badly. Someone must dont like you very much. You disabled your PM function, how to post to you when you ask for advice? Only ask when you need help, but cant be bothered to even update or reply us. Btw, not easy to match your orangey red. That's why workshop tell you dont respray.
Don't lose sleep over 2 small dots. But if u do, there are several other guys out there that can fix small issues for small sum. I've used Lim YewBoo & another guy in Sin Ming & another @ Paya Lebar. Few hundred bucks to S$1K for a full nose job. Fast turn around time of 2-3days for your case. Ah Long can be good but way too long to wait.
There are always a few theories as to why cars get keyed.... 1) Carelessly parked in a non-safe area 2) Owner made money in recent years (newly rich) but company of friends and acquaintances unable to keep up leading to envy and trouble 3) Owner has a bad attitude, yaya papaya, bragging 4) Owner owes money 5) Owner flirting with someone's girl/wife 6) Owner driving around a particular area making too much noise 7) Random acts of mischief by some mat yoyos 8) Just plain "sway"
hi it was 2 stone chip in late April, then got a long scratch in early may. My workshop fixed it already. just tested PM function and seems like it is working. Yes, i heard Ah Long is good for his work. Many recommendations. Will go visit him soon. sorry for the late reply.
If you need to do a full nose or spray anything then you might want to consider looking at Porsche of Vietnam, I just got my fender sprayed it was immaculate, I had mine painted and baked in about 7 hours. The big selling point is price for quaility. just off the scale!
Dear All What do you think about re-spraying a Ferrari in different colours? I'm looking for a used F430 but most of them are in red. So, I'm thinking of buying one and then re-spraying the car. I really like the metallic dark grey (sorry don't know the name of the colour) but does re-spraying the car affect its re-sale value, etc? And would the workshop here be able to get the exact same colour as the original paint? And how's the quality of the re-sprayed paintwork like? And the quality of the handiwork? From the 360/430 thread, I gathered that the quality of the paintwork ex-factory is not that great and have seen before and after photos of significantly "improved" paintwork done externally. But that's in the States.
People usually frown upon resprayed cars that's less than 10yrs here cos people will say it's an accident car etc. I did that on my 1 yr old Benz though but Ferrari is a little exotic & it'll greatly affect your re-sale+ export chances cos people like originals on exotics. However, that metallic grey is quite rare here & probably called Grigio titanio or some Italian name. Quite a few workshops here can do excellent re-spray to any colours of your choice using factory paint. Lastly, you can always spend another S$3-8K to re-spray it back to the factory colour upon re-selling. To be honest, I see more owners changing colours on their Lambos here.
Thanks, Jon. That's very helpful to know. Seen a couple of beautiful Grigio Titanio around (a coupe and a spyder) but have not seen any for sale yet. So, if you or anyone else know of any 3 year old or so ones around the SGD 0.5 mio mark, please let me know. CM
If lets say my Maserati GTS rims got chipped, where is the best and easiest way to touch it up?and if i keen on doing some stripes, where ??thanks
Quite a no. of guys doing stickers in Singapore these days. U can check with Reddevil on one in Katong or Genconcept & even the Silent shop in commonwealth used carmart. Sounds like you need to send your wheel to lathe. Few hours turn around job. Hurry @ Dunearn does it.
Hey Jon where's this Hurry at Dunearn? I live nearby there. Last time Lung reccomended this place above ES for rim repair but I've never tried it. I've done stickers at this shop at Ubi Ave 3 directly across the little street from the TP hq.
Bro u saying the shop is it at katong odeon?beside the shopping center?what's the pricing like? oh anyway check with u guys,u guys know of a lp560-4 spyder, white with the sideskirt sticker "LP560-4"?Check with ES that can be done, but u think aftermarket will be cheaper or with them?
Ok. on the Dunearn rd towards north. After you pass Botanic Gdn, keep left & filter left before the underpass. You'll see a row of pre-war shophouses & go slow here. It's a shop right @ the corner just before the Mc Donalds. I know your sticker shop & they do no. plates as well. Genconcept is few streets away. I don't know the exact location. You'll have to ask Lung & Reddevil. Prices varies & if you're just doing some words on sides it should be $1K+/- while some minor ones can be just few hundred bucks to over S$4K for full car wrap. Nothing's free bro, u like service & no time. Pay for it, otherwise be cheap like me, do everything DIY
