well for about $ 2K you can buy a cheap two post lift ! i'm building a garage and don't have room to do a lift vertically so i'm going to do the old school thing and make a pit ! I can walk down stairs into . no issue getting the cover off ! et all . still for $900 ? thats a good price !

    Thanks for the tip!
Was debating this or a bridge jack for my 4 post lift, but the clearance price turns me to this one, if they’re still avail near me,

Costco online is unfortunately currently showing the price at $1099.99. Still considering, but would LOVE to jump on it at $900!!

Wish I could give you more likes, mimmo.

Just got back from Costco Newmarket. Bought the last one, for $799.98!
Finally, a better deal on this side of the border!

I don’t know if I wrench enough to keep it long term, but have a couple brake jobs to do, then hopefully sell it for about what I paid

In Alberta on Costco.ca it still shows price at $1299.99...would definitely pick one up for $800.00

Costco.ca isn’t the same as the stores. Their web presence stinks. Doesn’t show store inventory or anything. they run it like a separate business. As a shareholder it pisses me off bc amazon, HD and Walmart for example are so much better.
Items are always more expensive vs the ones stocked in the store, so that you can get “free” shipping.
I also think for clearance items, each store manager has discretion.
It appears the one in my store was slightly more eager or less confident to clear them out than the one in mimmo’s store.

Damn that's strange, usually Costco clearance prices in in 97 cents. Maybe I will go back see if they will price match Newark etc. Lol

Yes, but tight. Need to position the lift properly so doesn't bind a wheel when raised.

yes, $1,000 as we learned, always like a bargain and when our fellow ferraristas' in the frozen north could get one for 700 $ something, it interested us ! we note however, one can get a two post lift for the same $ ! vastly superior ! Image Unavailable, Please Login

There are actually reasons to prefer the quick jack to the two post beyond just "too poor" or "no space." I can run my quickjack off my cigarette lighter, transport it in a hatchback, and stow it on an industrial shelf. Yes, there are also many reasons to prefer a two-post: stronger, higher lift, less obtrusive for working on the car, and more.

At $750 you'd be an absolute fool not to buy one, maybe even in addition to a two-post. Heck, I hate to be mercenary, but if I was in Canada, I'd have bought out their whole stock, taken it to the next C&C, and sold them out the back of the truck for $900-950.

I looked at the two post and didn't like the idea of needing to find the cars center of gravity to safely lift it. Probably not a big issue but having the car tip off would be a big bummer.

Usually, the allowed lift points on the car, ( clearly indicated ) are allready AT the center of gravity ! there are a few rare cars that require some special consideration but not most ! Cars falling off a lift are very rare ! would be sad ,( and preventable ) - but then the car is insured for $20 K more than I paid for it ! ! so.........

A 2 post is likely superior in many situations...although I think one should factor in the cost of delivery and installation in the total. I wouldn’t dream of using a 2 post that wasn’t professionally installed.
I had my 4 post lift installed by a pro...worth every penny. And I’m a pretty handy guy.
