The 12 C has a titanium exhaust option.

Question: Is this merely the cosmetic cover surrounding the rectangular tips?

Does it also include the last inch or two of the rectangular exhaust tips?

I doubt it applies to the actual exhaust system, which has much longer pipes.

Maybe it saves 1 pound over the chrome pipe tips?

My guess is it is decorative. Have you looked on the configurator?

Since the price for that option is less than 2k, I strongly doubt that you would actually get a different exhaust.

I was told by the Ferrari sales team that with the titanium tips, because it is a different metal with different properties, it will change the sound on the exit of the exhaust. It will have a different tone? I am not sure if this is a bunch of whatever in order to take another 2k from your wallet.

    Yes I did
    Not much detail
I upgraded to the titanium tips on my 458 spider and I can attest to the fact that the piece is purely decorative

with the 458 it did save 1 pound of weight and it did look more elegant as it was a bit more refined looking

I bought from a UK source when the British pound was favorable against the USD 1:1.08!

Of course that exchange rate is worse for America now.

If the sound is better with the rectangular pipes Perhaps that a reason to buy.

somehow I doubt that would make a difference since a rectangular exhaust is not a melodic as a round pipe. Ask any musician! Even an audiophile Do you own any speakers which have square speakers vs round speakers?
