I am putting new (well rebuilt) rear shock absorbers in my '95 456GT. I have them reassembled with the springs and such but have a question about the adjustment cam/gear position when I put the actuator on. I feel there is more involved than just putting the actuator on, so what position do I put the gear/cam in when slipping the actuator on? Thanks in advance for the help?

Doesn't make any difference, the actuator will spin the rod in both directins to determine center everytime the key is cycled.
That's the reason for the two Hall Effect sensors

Actually it doesn't return to center, it returns to a pre-determined position somewhere between the two extremes based on what the shock ECU commands.

The motor senses when the rod has turned to it's stop in one direction then reverses to find the other stop then goes to it's predetermined position somehere between the two stops.

These positions determine the firmess demanded by the shock ECU
