Good run for Massa. Kimi had too much to drink last night. The way the Macs are using up their tires....Massa could win this one. Also Lewis may be pitting a lap or 2 earlier than Massa in tomorrows fist stint.
He is fooling his sponsers. Q3 is a joke. Q1/2 should be race levels and Q3 should be light as possible.. Massa P1!!! Kov on the grass again!! hahahaha but 3rd! Lewis FASTEST!!! P1 Alonso 4th! Kimi 6th tho
Deal with it son Good line up though i thought Alonso would have been on the first two grids. Would have been good.
the Ferrari boys will deal with him tomorrow, the Hamster is only driving a Merc engined McLunken after all
Ferrari should do well as the Macs eat the tires. I think Massa will have a 2/10 advantage as each stint goes on. The Macs are eating their tires big time. Unfortunately for Kimi...he ate a lot of his tires today and will have to start each stint with slightly more worn tires than most.
Hi Steve, It was a followup to post #21... Much as Dr. T proclaims the opposite, can't see them hanging on to NH. This 'out in Q2' effort is becoming fairly routine... Congrats on your McHam, but GO KIMI.......
Kimi has never relied on Qualifying position for his races, but it really seems to be hurting him this year, especially when drivers with obviously slower cars fuel light to try and get some faux-qualifying-pace, causing for interesting clutter when the lights go out. Does the Michael curse still hold true? Every time he comes to a race weekend, things do not bode well for Kimi. Also, I'm seriously laughing about Massa's replies in the press conference.
It all depends on the jump off the start, if Kimi can get ahead 2-3 places from that, it should at least give him a decent chance to at least pass people in the pits. It just looked to me that in short stints Kimi doesn't get the tires working optimally, but over a race distance, he has no problems (unless the team chooses to do something insane like ohh.... NOT changing tires). I think the complete opposite applies to the McLaren chassis in general (hard on tires) but especially Hamilton. He's always hard on tires Massa a little bit as well, as he seems to run out of tires sometimes right as the car becomes light on fuel. They say the race is going to be hard on tires, lets hope they're right, and let's hope Kimi can get a good start (not too good though, if he's ahead of Hamilton by the time they pit, he might get taken out in the pitlane again).
Can I find the press conference somewhere on the internet? Our Dutch coverage sadly never shows the post qualifying or race conferences
Fair post, but I hardly think LH will ram him again..it cost him as well you know!!, I think the worrying part, is the more LH learns the more he will be harder to catch, I agree he is hard on his tyre's but if he romp's off into the distance, it may not be such a issue, we can hope Massa stay's in touch if he doesnt get jumped at the start. Ferrari need FA in the cockpit IMO ,to stop the Hamilton walking away with it..On this I hope I'am wrong. but the way he seems to pull out the hot lap at the death, is just so MS like.
