Sooner or later this discussion will start, so might as well start it sooner In the UK currently 3 'for sale' at between £550 and 600k..which would imply a c. £150k premium I doubt they will get sold at these values and my guess is that within 12 months the cars will go for under in the UK How does it look in other markets?
two main drivers for a stable market, I think 1 Demand outstrips Supply by magnitudes of 3-5 (according dealerships) 2 New V12 NA without hybrid is soon a rarity
Shmee claims he got an offer offer USD1m for his car, not sure that fully ties up with the ask prices that float around on some second hand car sites
1) dealers always exaggerate and they don't know final production numbers 2) the last V12 story is been around for a long time, 812 successor will be V12 NA based on what's written in this forum, so still another few years and then the political push for petrol ban is getting weaker
The V12 is sold out and the successor will contain a V6 Hybrid. Imagine how the prices of the V12 may develop.
Yes also hearing the are offers over $1m and no one is jeopardizing their customer rating by flipping the PS which explains the incredibly tight supply. I did not see this coming at all for this car.
The number is only real if somebody transacted on that level... Which I have a hard time to see.... Anybody that can afford to pay that money probably has an allocation... And everyone knows that this is not going to last based on the production numbers planned, which Ferrari has been very transparent about.... While this number is floating around I very much doubt any car will change hands at that level
Totally agree. Acc to the German „mobile“ site there are about ten PS offered at present. Covering a price range btw. 200 and 400k€ above sticker roughly. Approx. 220…440US. So why should one buy the PS for nearly 1m then? There will for sure be a significant upgrade of 150…200 over MRSP for a certain period of time. Nobody knows how it would end up in long term though.
I think there is a difference between European and US cars. As there is a difference between European and UK RHD cars I would also be careful on these ads. Very few advertise cars that are available for immediate delivery. If you call most sellers they will tell you they have a 2024 slot Reality is that almost everyone who has a car right now would not want to ruin their standing with the factory by flipping it Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I have never seen a 4 seater Ferrari for the last 50 years do anything but drop heavily so I guess I was just programmed to thinking that.
in the video I posted, Shmee is claiming that he got offers around the USD1mm mark for his car which is a RHD UK car, so for now it doesn't apply....but yes most of the times US / UK is opposite ends of market value spectrum and yes 2024 will see a lot more deliveries, Ferrari officially stated 20% production will be PS, so the value will adjust pretty quickly....there is no regular production / not 'highly' limited car (ie around 500-800 total production) car at that price level...there's just not that many people that can or want to pay that much money for a car
I have heard there will be a limited, initial run of V12 Puros, and then follow on runs of non-V12 Puros which will make up the bulk of the 20% production, thus making the V12 versions very limited.
At this stage it's just a V12 for at least 2 years possibly longer, it can't be very limited as there has not been any finite production number communicated... Also it's not even in the same 'limited/ special edition' bracket as the Pista.... hence they are not on the same level of rarity as other 1m or even 500k cars
Well, the Pista isn’t what I could call “limited”. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were less F8s produced than Pistas. But we’ll see what happens with the Puro. It wouldn’t shock me at all if they kept the quantities of V12 versions low.
The Purosangue's are going to be like a half a million dollars, I personally don't see people paying hundreds of thousands of dollars over for them but I could be wrong and I hope I'm wrong as I have one coming. They already cost twice as much as Urur's and are Cullinan black badge money. We should see more and more this spring as some have already gotten Vin's so won't be too long
Got my VIN car should be here soon - think of it as the worlds first FUV vs another SUV. Owned Cullinan the worlds laziest SUV. Puro is the boss of the 4 door world. Not one Ferrari guy is going to sell before 18 months. Few idiots and those will go for big numbers.
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing - what if Ferrari makes a limited edition Purosangue. How did that work out for those who lost out on XX. Ferrari doesn't reward in n out like a fast food restaurant and XX took twenty years of F ownership. Values going up is nice but it also unhealthy way to enjoy.
