To properly understand the design of the Purosangue, the car should be divided into two areas.
To make this clearer, the upper part of the PS body in the first picture has been separated from the lower part. The upper part carries all the aesthetic components, the lower part the mechanical ones. According to the Ferrari designers, the contrast between these areas was deliberately played with to shape the character of the car. The special design and visibility of the mechanical area means that the vehicle does not appear as large as other SUVs. If you completely erase the bottom section (this is my own montage as opposed to the first one) you can see that the upper part is very similar to the body of the GTC4 Lusso.
This type of staging in an upper and lower area is not new for the Centro Stile, but it has never been implemented as convincingly as with the new PS. So: Small trick, big effect!;)
