    Dave, you know what you're looking at!

    A real leaf-spring-through-the-axle is wonderful.

    I tried my own attempt at a recreation, using 1932 Ford bits. Houdaille shocks, a 21 stud flathead V-8.

    I got an english wheel, a Cleco set, countersunk hard rivets, and even learned to gas weld aluminum.
    I built a body buck, and was really happy with the direction I was going.

    But my ambition was greater than my talent and time. This is as far as I got.
    And then I became a father...

    Yes, I can maybe see your time-deficit problem......
    ....but I don't see a talent-deficit issue at all!
    Get back out to the garage and get to work!
    Put the son/daughter in a cradle in a warm corner, put on some soothing music, and grab those clecos!

    I actually sold it several years ago. My son is now 9. Time flies.
