Those who have seen a Ferrari in PRUGNA, how would you rate it. 1) Great really different 2) Suits only some cars. 3) Dont like the color at all.
It's different kind of like maroon or burgundy Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is it me or are these two different colors? (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm a little colorblind ) The 599 looks pretty good in that color i must say (except for the silver roof and the chrome wheels). However the color on the 308 looks like sht to me.
I think its a great colour and work well on any model. The 308 does look very attractive in this shade but it would certainly suit the bigger front engine models (612, 456 et al)
The 599 does look good in that color...but the 599 has the best looking lines of any Ferrari since the Lusso so it looks good in any color...
I hate the whole idea... The 599 looks terrible because of the whole 'Two tone' thing going on, not because of the main body colour. I don't think its that bad...Kind of rusty... Best, Jon
Here is a prugna Mondial. Different color than what is pictured above no?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
prugna is a metallic eggplant color, the mondial is prugna, the others aren't it look good when matched with a cream interior, as for the models it looks best on, that is a matter of taste and whether you like something other than red
I've seen both a Mondial and a 308 in Prugna and the Modial looked good but I did not care for the 308
The 308/328 has nice lines, but I still can't get excited about the color other than to say it's "interesting". I've seen a 308 QV in person -- haven't seen the 328 pictured here. FWIW, even in prugna, I thought it was a pretty car. 599s are best in black -- it hides the styling gimmickry on the side and somewhat masks the bulky rear end. I've seen one (hit in the rear, actually) in dark metallic red, but not 'prugna'. Image Unavailable, Please Login
According to this, they only have one type of Prugna, the Metalico Prugna. and here's another one: http://www.nwrfca.org/faq/colors.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not mine, borrowed from another thread, but I have friends with both a 360 spider and a 430 coupe in that color, and they both are stunning! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Isn't there a woman Stereo-installer in CA who has the Prugna 308 QV from California? Sandra was her name?
Her car had a tan interior, other than that I cannot say - both her and her husband sold refurbished Nakamichi in-dash car audio as well as new car audio somewhere in Southern California several years ago....she won a FCA award for her car and had a web site up detailing the events that led to her FCA class win with the Prugna 308. OOOPsss...I spoke too soon- I found her on another site: http://www.****************/forums/member.php?u=4901 '84 308gts Qv #51383 Prugna/tan
Prugna, according to my web dictionary means "plum" or, my favorite translation, "PRUNE". The color apparently has the same effect on some people as prunes do. I personally like it. Tom Kizer
This color on a 599 would more correctly be called "PurgeNia", I believe. Does the silver top evoke a metal gagging spoon? So the 599 has the best lines of any Ferrari since the Lusso - ? It just so happens that the first Ferrari I ever had the privilege of driving was a Dino 246 Coupe in this approximate color with a simple black interior. (I Edit to say that the Dino was certainly not a purple, it was more of a dark burgendy red...kind of hard to say what you are getting without seeing the real thing under the real sun, after all)
I think it was her car I saw last year at Bella Italia, in San Diego. Well-kept car and she was super nice. That's not prugna. Nice color, though.
