I am very happy to finally be a "card carrying" member of this group. I just purchased a 1989 Mondial T Cab with 28k miles. I've got to get the 30k major service done but I knew about it when I negotiated the price. The car looks and drives great. I'll look forward to meeting many of the local Chicago members. I am located in the Naperville area. Ron Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like the red carpet too. Anyone know if Ferrari ever made any of those with a black interior? I just realized that I can't remember ever seeing one
88.5 Red on black. Initially, I wanted red over tan but found the right car with black interior and black roof. I now like this color combo very much. - Ron ps. Welcolme to the club. Your car looks great. Enjoy!
Count me in as LOVING the red carpet as well. Really sets off the interior especially when the car has a red exterior.
Niiiiice! Boy, every t cab here has nicer seats than mine. In one year I managed to get black scuff marks all over the driver's seat. :-( But she runs great!
Congrats on your purchase and enjoying your Fcar. I too just bought my first. 1989 Mondial T Cab. Sera Blue. 82198. It was delivered to me last night at about 10 p.m. I had to take it out for a spin..even without plates. (It was fun learning her every sound and her little nuances. It was also kinda fun running under the cover of darkness too. I had to drive to the Interstate highway to just open her up a little. I gotta admit I was a little amazed and slightly giddy thinking I was clipping along and had a full two more gears that I could go thru. I have a healthy respect for the law and especially the laws of gravity. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning! I can't stop playin with my new toy. The wife and I spent most of today (11a.m.-6p.m. getting it inspected and emisions tested and licensed and then just driving around. I can't get enough of it. The weather is turning bad tomorrow and I'm so disapointed that I cant take her out again. I am so quietly kicking myself for not having made the plunge sooner. I now can't see myself without an Fcar. I hope you are having the same exhilaration that I have been having. Enjoy your car and maybe I'll see ya on the road or at Indy next year. I'd like to see some of the Mondials there next year. Best wishes, Dave
Thanks to everyone for your kind words and welcoming comments. I love the red carpets as well. Something different for sure. I think they were an option back then. I'm sure that I'll be posting and looking for information in the near future. I appreciate all of your help. Ron www.ronsusser.com
