A friend of mine bought a 360CS with the leather seats and was wondering a good way to prevent seat wear at the bolsters from getting in and out of the car..

    Anyone have any ideas?

Not to be a smart a$$ but don;t rub them with your A$$ when you get out. Get in and out carefully

Fitted seat covers etc.(cheesy) If he's not a chubby guy then he should be able to get in and out without rubbing too much.

    He is a fat a$$..

I think his problem is he just cant stop driving it and gets in and out of it too much, cant stop taking it places like the groceries store, 7-11, xmas shopping, the gym, etc etc.. Anytime his wife asks him to go get something well ya know what he takes :)

He'll thrash them then. I've seen older people do this that can't really get in and out easily. Seat covers or fugetaboutit.

If you don't want it to wear, don't drive it.....................

    Otherwise, just enjoy it..............

With a lot of use, he'll even ruin them WITH seat covers. Just have him recover the seat when it gets pretty bad - its not very expensive when you consider the price of other Ferrari repairs

it's "slightly cheezy", but when i get in and out of the car i put a small microfiber towel on top of the side bolster. this has worked well for me and it has eliminated the "wear and tear" on the bolster.

You should slide the seat all the way back before getting in or out of the car.

Buy a spare seat.......wear out the leather on the seat and enjoy the car........have it refitted after two years or less when totally worn out or replace it with a complete new seat.

put your butt in first then swing your legs around. Works like a charm.

Getting in and out, support your body by placing your left hand on the inner sill and right hand on the steering wheel. Lift your butt up and over the bolster.

thats the way to do it. otherwise, what color are the seats? if black, it is very easy to re-dye or touch up by yourself.
I know jeans are popular but they are tough on the seats.
Fred B., who posted yesterday, drives in his underwear!

Is it true that on a concour the original leather seat even with wear brings more points than a seat looks brand new because it has been recovered?
