Read an article saying that rumors whisper a 2650 pound kerb weight.

There's no way it's that light.

Alot of figures are coming out about this car and it has yet to be tested by some accredited motorsport journo's. Gonna wait till the dust settles somewhat.

I screwed up on the presentation release video..it was today (Sept. 11, 2017).

Here is another vid. He gets up closer and goes around the car.

The Valkyrie is 2,250lbs and n/a V12 pushing 1,000hp. It looks far better too. The AMG One is a let down...ugly and heavier and has a V6...

The Porsche 919 for comparison is under 2,000 lbs so the Aston figure is not unbelievable.

Edit: The McLaren F1 LM is 2,341 lbs and the GTR Longtail is 2,017 lbs. Both n/a V12s. How AMG added so much more weight is beyond me.

To say “ ... and has a V6” is a gross understatement. The four-time championship winning Mercedes Formula 1 engine is also “a V6.” In fact, it is the SAME V6 that is in the Project ONE. Some people might prefer more cylinders, but four consecutive F1 world championships are reasonable evidence that six cylinders appear to be sufficient in this case!

Of course the championship car would have a V6...that's what the rules dictate. They could've made the rules specify a single cylinder engine...doesn't matter. That doesn't mean a V6 is the best option.

Having a f1 engine in a street car is probably coolest bragging point ever in a car even if v6

I'm probably in the minority, but I do not considering it a bragging point. F1 engines are high revving and low torque and don't make much sense to me to put into a street car that weighs more than an F1 car (with or without passengers). I rather have a V12...

Alot depends on gearing also. Torque multiplication can really go a long way.
