    I've heard both 310 hp and 315 hp, the latter is what the owner's manual on my 1983 400i says.

    Total production in 1984 was 239 cars, 160 with automatic, 79 with the 5 speed.

    John (Ashman) already knows this but you might not.

    400i's were all grey market cars and never officially imported to the US by Ferrari. His above number is correct when you talk about total production. Just in case you're interested the total number of 1984 400i's ever brought to the US is 96 cars.

    Is there an official book that provides these kinds if production numbers?

    Any URL would be great to look at if its available on-line.
