The thread began looking for 'prettiest' rather than most macho (eg last post) so I vote for the Chevron B16 Image Unavailable, Please Login
There are a lot of cars that look good before the Flag drops. I always liked the ones that look good 24 hours later. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Digmans Lotus got me thinking. Dan Gurney's Eagle Weslake. Let me find a color copy like I have on my wall. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm guessing the McLaren Nice choice in cars, I would have picked the same ones! I like the clean, no wing look of cars of that era. Being able to see all or part of the motor is a bonus.
gilles27, correct, taken by my engineer, in the pits during practice, note the side cutters on the radiator pod of the back car!
jim, is that a kenny thompson replica? if so, i am curious if you have seen one of his cars in the flesh? as you know, kenny is a talented fabricator and may be the best positioned to actually recreate an mk IV. pcb
So far as I know none of those have been finished. This one was done in the Midwest and is currently for sale. Best
The McLaren was my 1a guess. In looking at the Chaparral pic again, you always see the prominent Cox sponsor decal on the cars. I had the thrill of meeting Jim Hall at his shop in Midland. I was on the Texas 1000, put on by Vintage Rallies and Rich and Jean Taylor. I was the first to arrive, and he was wandering around the parking lot waiting for the 30 cars to descend on his shop. I pulled up in the closest spot, and asked if it was okay to park there. He strolled over, stuck out his hand, and said " Hello I am Jim Hall. You are fine to park there as the boss isn't here, and I'm sure she won't mind." In line to eat mexican food at the Chaparral Museum later, I asked him about how he got involved with Cox. He said they cold called him, told him they wanted to build a Chaparral Slot Car, and he thought it would be no big deal. After they sold a ****load of them in the next few years, it amounted to a lot more dollars than he ever imagined. He was such a regular guy, and getting to meet him, hear him speak about aerodynamics, and walking Rattlesnake Speedway behing the shop will be etched into my brain forever. Sorry for the thread hijack, but wanted to throw it out there. Image Unavailable, Please Login
