Agreed, but that's why I asked for opinions...... And we're certainly getting 'em - Which is good. And, as someone said above, badass does not necessarily make for pretty. IMHO, the Enzo is in no way a "pretty" car for example - I love it, but it's not pretty. Cheers, Ian
917's were pretty, but talk to anyone that drove one back in the day and they will tell you they were by far the scariest 'pieces' they ever drove, handling-wise.
Nice collection of cars in the thread, P4, 33, Mclaren, T70, 904 .... Not the prettiest perhaps but the cleanest lines, 23b. Weebles Wobble . Image Unavailable, Please Login
May I say that looking at all of these pictures captured by so many talented photogs, are treasures - to be sure. Bruce Miller's post #53 knocked me out of my seat!!! Thanks, for not only an object - but an energy as well Cheers, Hank
My pic is crap but my friend's Silk Cut Jaguar is the best looking car I have ever seen. Pic#2 is a better representation of what it looks like but not his car. His is #33. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
they are ALL pretty in a way as they are all built for a purpose and within strict parameters - no fluff. but...top 3 has to include the Lola T70, Lotus 25, early Maclaren, lightweight e type, aston zagato DB4 GT and of course the GT40 (pic from NSXER - thanks) (all before the billboard era by co incidence.....) cheers Mark Taiwan/UK Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was always partial to these two myself, especially this version of the Jag with the rear wheels covered. Also +1 on the DBR9, and this is coming from a Corvette owner... It's simply stunning. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It don't get much better than the Maserati 250F Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Of course, the 250 F should be close to the top - its gorgeous. Also glad all the pocket money I spent on Floyd albums wasn't completely wasted on sex and drugs. Some went the right way. Great pics there. Think its Motorsport mag in the UK thats just run a great few articles on the Maseratis of that era. Cheers Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've always loved the clean lines of the Matra 650 and the Ligier JS-2s. The JS11 was one of my favorite F1 cars at the times. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wouldn't kick any of these out of bed for eating crackers. To add a little different flavor than some of the above: Not the belle of the ball, but at least invited. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My vote is for the 1963-64 Ferrari 156 'Aero2, their first monocoque, which Bandini used to win his only GP, Austria '64; here he is at Brands Hatch and at Monaco: http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/2742/bandinibrands64.jpg http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/5585/banmon641562.jpg Sadly neither of the 2 built seem to have survived.
