My 308 GT4 is in need of carb work and a few other minor repairs. I’ve used GTM in Greer but would prefer finding someone locally this time. Any suggestions?

Ron Reineke in Tucker has been my mechanic for years and should be reasonably convenient to you. But he is very popular and hence very busy.

Have you tried too work on those carburetors yourself? Just Wunderin!

You have the same Weber DCNF carburetors as in my car. I have spent 16+ years tuning these Webers and they are a delight to work with. Balancing and synchronizing is a good starting point and easy for you to do.

You can see how easy it is on the YouTube Weberology:Tuned Induction video. There are of course more Weberology series primer videos that are more informative and encompassing to help owners of Weber carbureted vehicles.

    Ciao,
    George

Merlin and Wade Williams would get my vote.

    Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

George, I'm capable of giving that a shot but combined with the other laundry list of items I need taken care of and my lack of a properly outfitted garage at the moment, I'm going to let the pros take my money this time.

Ron can work on most models... I know he has software for 458 era models. Not sure on his latest updates. Access to Ferrari files would be his limitations. I know he can work on my 599, and has the full Leonardo diagnostic suite.

Makes perfect sense to sometimes let the pros handle is. There are enough gremlins hiding in those carburetor that maybe in need of correction. When time is of the essence, take it to the shop. Buy a synchrometer, $50.00 as I recall. You will not regret it. Once the job is done,,you can check the accuracy of the balance and synchronization right there at the shop..

    Ciao,
    George

I have taken my car to Ferrari of Atlanta for decades. In fact my car is there right now and Richard Winfrey is doing a major engine out service with complete re-seal, tuneup with a new clutch and new European Curve ECUs by David Feinburg and newly recovered seats and headrests by Tim DiPasquale.
