Reliability not withstanding... recall the gearbox gremlins all last year. I'm thinking BMW & Renault fighting for 3rd.
I disagree about Force India but I think your top 3 is spot on. The surprise of this season will be JB & Honda and perhaps Nico Rosberg & Williams. I look for Mark Webber to improve and Heidfeld to continue to impress. The biggest disappointments will be Bourdais and Massa, in my opinion.
Who do we HOPE will win or who do we think WILL win? Its different I realistically HOPE it would be 1) Kimi 2) Hamilton 3) Heiki . . 24) Alonso but I think it realistically will be 1) Hamilton 2) Kimi 3) Heiki 4) Alonso 5) Massa
Aye up Mike.. realistic prediction is what I was thinking.. I would like/hope to see but highly unlikely..as FA coming last.. 1 KIMI 2 JENSON 3 LEWIS
Hmmm hard to know. Ferrari absolutely obliterated everyone at Albert Park last year. I think it is realistic to see a Ferrari 1-2, however that pesky Hamilton is very quick. I think 1. Kimi 2. Lewis 3. Massa 4. Kubica (just for something different) 5. Heikki 6. Rosberg 7. Alonso 8. Webber
Ideally I hope Kimi wins but any Ferrari winning is fine with me. I can't wait to see what happens with alonso and hamilton on the track.
I guarantee that there will be at least 2 crashes between Hamilton and Alonso this season, and I'd like to see what Alonso does when Hamilton is trying to lap him.
He will let him sail by, ask Luca he thinks it will be boring.. Good point though, it may not come to that if the Renault is a front runner but I'am sure there will be some tangles. I suppose it depend's on whether or not to believe his statement, or is he playing down the true pace of the Renault car. If true he may play a part in messing up LH's title chances. Fernando Alonso says he will be satisfied just to help Renault get back on the pace this year, and will not be disappointed if he cannot join the title fight. The double world champion - who came within one point of a third straight title at McLaren in 2007 - does not expect Renault to start the year amongst the frontrunners, but says he has already adjusted his expectations for 2008. "It will be a frustrating feeling not leading the table of course, but you'll have new targets - maybe not a victory, but the top five, then the podium - so there will be motivation to push to the limit," Alonso told the BBC
It wouldnt surprise me if Alonshole recieves a race suspension or 2 this season. Or he might not be seen or heard all season......Fat chance.
I'd take that bet. Now that they are no longer teammates, I doubt there will be any fireworks between them. Off-track Alonso may have behavioral issues but on-track he is one of the more professional drivers on the circuit. Hamilton will likely be racing for the title this year, I doubt he would do anything stupid to jeopardize that either.
I have a feeling that Hamilton, will cause a big pile up on the track. He is going to come out of the blocks full speed trying to prove a point. The result will be many angry drivers and ruined cars.
