Hi Steve. Getting back on topic. KR PM NR LH HK NH MW RK My prediction is Ferrari will have a 0.5 second advantage on the field. Williams ,Mclaren and RBR will fight it out for best of the rest.
Wow, just 3 weeks. Looking forward to Australia, although not as much as last year as we went down under for the race last year. I predict that Scuderia Toro Rosso will move up the ranks this year and for Melbourne Kimi Lewis Massa
Uh, let's see. Massa Raikkonen Alonso Hamilton Heidfeld Kovalwhatshisname. Alonso/Briatore have something up their sleeve.
Kimi Massa Hamilton Heikki or Heidfeld Alonso I'm still wondering about Renault's performance. It would be a bit too much of sandbagging now, but Alonso is excellent in developing a car... but the question is if he didn't join the team too late for substancial changes on the car.
Alonso is not good at car development. Not sure how that rumor got started. He has the same reputation as Kimi used to have, show up and drive, then leave. At Renault it was Fisi, which is one of the reasons Briatore kept him around. He joined McLaren after that car was already 95%, all he did there was along with Pete DeLala they figure out how to steal Ferrari's brake technology. At Renault, same thing, car is 95% by January 1, Fred's input will be minimal. I would bet that Piquet is better at car development.
Alonso is actually superb at car development. He was Renault's development driver for a year and helped create the car that propelled him to two championships. Then he helped develop the McLaren. This year he'll develop the Renault once again (after the car fell apart under Fisichella's lack of development). Watch the car get faster and faster as the season progresses.
