Prancing Horse/Steve Maman - Excellent Service

I wanted to provide positive feedback to all in regards to my recent purchase of a nice F-car from Steve Maman/Prancing Horse.

The whole transaction went very smooth and the odd incidental that arose was totally taken car of by Steve. He went out of his way to ensure that everything went well and that I was happy (detailed the car, arranged shipping, etc).

Great purchase and great service... what can I say except thanks once again Steve!

I have not taken too many pics of the car, as the engine is need of a major service (the car sat for 7 years) and I do not want to start it too many times... what a shame to have such a machine just sitting around! However, this will soon be rectified come Spring. The car is a 1977 512BB. A Euro, original, and totally unmolested survivor... It is a great find!

Anyway, here are some pics... The more I look at the carbs the more I get goosebumps ...

All of my Neighbors are really cool. I have known most of them for > 30 years and so they are sort of like my extended family! Consequently, they are used to and put up with my toys...and the noise that sometimes emanates from my garage! All in all in gives us sometime to chat about!

 

Thanks for the kudos! Indeed, I am most pleased with the color combination. In fact, I only saw the car when I made the final inspection... some two months after I purchased the car!

As for the antenna... sadly, I guess this is/was a Swiss/Euro thing... It looks hedious. However, the car is in need of some general refreshing anyway and so the antenna will be removed (sealed, painted, etc) come Spring. I am still wondering why someone would place such a thing on the car, as there is a windshield antenna...strange...

When the car became available I only had to think about it for about 5mins... I then phoned Steve back and said let's do the deal... It is a great car. It does have some odds and ends that need to be addressed ... i.e. dash, major service, tires, exhaust, and a little exterior refreshing. Actually the fact that it needed some tending to is why I was so keen...I do like to tinker/play!

Sounds (forgive the pun) great! Come Spring we will have to compare... I am actually designing my own SS exhaust and tailoring the sound and performance characteristics to what I wish... It should be a lot of fun!
