Any recs for a PPI around the Newport Beach area? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I can take a look at it for you, and give it a work out as well. This way youll know if it cracks under pressure , because we all know who ever had it drove it like a fairy . Im no mechanic, but I know what to look for, and I will do it for free. I did this for a Canadian who bought and fixed up a 308 , who by the way bought it from a Ferrari broker in Newport Beach several years ago. I will drive my Ferrari down there as well , so the people know Im serious .Ill get on my hands an knees and look all over for leaks and whatever else, suspension. I know how gearboxes must perform as well as the power plant. Big G
Thanks! Although my experience with calling dealers is they no longer perform PPIs. Is this what most have experienced lately as well? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Recommendations to inquire with: Ferrari of Newport Beach Randy Tippets at RMT Motorsports https://www.rmtmotorsports.com/
I have found it varies, if you are an existing client they can be more flexible. They may already know the car.
If Fast Cars will not do the ppi for you, try Stallion Motorsports (formerly Arena Motors) in Costa Mesa. It's 5 mins from Newport Beach, which may be a big deal depending on a seller's willingness to send a car 45 mins away for a ppi.
Ferrari and Maserati Service of Newport Beach, https://www.yelp.com/biz/ferrari-and-maserati-of-newport-beach-service-center-costa-mesa-7 https://www.ferrariofnewportbeach.com/service-department/ Different mechanics there are experts on different cars, for ex. Paul is the expert on 360/430/308 Testarossa. I had them do a thorough PPI (Post Purchase Inspection ) three years ago.
