    Does anyone know a good shop to get a PPi done in San Diego ? Near university city? I do not want to use a Ferrari dealer, need a good independent mechanic. I found a very low mile GTS that I’m interested in. Went and checked out the car today , seller was an older gentleman and was nice enough to let me take it for a test drive on the freeway, I’ll be honest I was against getting an F1 trans car but now after trying it out I’m not against it, the car has very low miles under 10,000 and seems to run good, couple of sticky buttons and puffy passenger airbag but otherwise very clean. He’s asking $160,000 with last service done 4 years ago, price seems steep since it’s due for a major next year, I know prices went up, and if it was a manual would be astronomical but if you’re going to ask $160,000 at least have an up to date service. Any guidance here would be appreciated.

    Probably a bit overpriced. And that's a pretty aggressive ad when the seller can't be bothered to post anything better than three blurry pics in a dark underground garage.

    If you want a Great PPI from a fantastic master tech get hold of Damian he will have the car moved for you at a reasonable number and do the PPI, you are in incredible hands believe me when I tell you this :)

    I would not bother with a ppi. Car is priced on the high end, but probably worth it, as a gated car in that mileage would break $200k easily and then some. It is not due for service. Yes lots of debate here, but trust me broh, it is not going to matter. You are not going to discount it much. If you want a sub 10k mile collectible car, then take a $150k cashiers check and buy it, or stand there with your laptop and wire the funds. Drive and enjoy some. Service it in the next 2-3 years. These are big boy cars now and at the price and market we are at, you buy it and pay for it and spend your own money servicing it. Or keep looking to make yourself feel better, but you will regret it.

    Thanks for the suggestions, I don’t want to take it to the same shop it was serviced at, I have tentatively set up a PPi appointment for next week.

    That’s what I had in mind as I’m factoring in $20,000 for the major and maybe another $4,000 for cosmetics. Yes I understand If it was a manual who knows maybe the asking would be $280,000, seems these are the Dinos of today, wish I bought in 2018 lol

    I’m set on buying from a private buyer, full disclosure here I have a home in AZ and the car will spend half the year there, I can save $15,000 $20,000 on tax as in AZ private sales are 0 tax. I don’t want to get into politics but the government already taxes me more than what a F355 goes for yearly I will be damned if I throw away more money to them on a used car that they’ve already collected taxes on before. it’s a matter of principle, I’ll leave it at that.

    Thanks for all the recommendations I had PPi setup but seller ended up selling to someone else since the PPi was couple of weeks out, very frustrating
