The power window buttons on my 430 no longer "spring" back to the center position after I press it. Both of them seem to have lost their click action. The button still works, but I have to press more firmly than before.

Anyone experience this? - is there is simple fix?

    Thanks

It's possible that the buttons have come out of the housing tabs (partially). Can you post a photo?

PS - there are no springs inside - the lever clicks micro switches that has minimal spring return

I had this happen to me as well. I replaced both switches.

The dealer quoted me $500 to replace both switches ....

    I hardly ever used them.

Michael, i know these buttons well. Maserati Gransports have the same problem. This could be your problem.>>Each side of the button is a TIT that sits in a slot. This is how the button rocks. Most likely one of the TITS has broken off and this makes it so the button is not sitting in its housing properly thus you have to press harder to make it work. If yoyur button feels alittle bit sloppy then thats a good indication. If this isnt it then the little micro that helps it bounce back is bad

I'm pleasantly surprised that you got away with using the Tit word on a forum without it being starred out! Perhaps the world is starting to see some sensibility?

If that is broken, and still present, a little super glue and it will be like new :)

We've repair those many times. It helps to have precision tweezers to hold the tiny tab...

$500 bucks to supply and change out a pair of rocker switches, wowser. Mine have just a start of stickiness so I'm going to have to do something when it gets warmer over here in blighty.

Any idea on how these rocker button switches come out? I'm willing to give it a go (superglue).

    Thanks!
I believe I need a special tool to remove the radio. Once I get that done, replacing the power window switches looks easy. The part cost $100 at Ricambi for both switches. Worthwhile doing.

Are you sure? Also - be sure they are available and be prepared - many new parts are sticky in the box...

I have fixed many of those. Just glue it, reinforce it from the back and it will last a long time.

+1. I used superglue and a thin piece of plastic as reinforcement.

Also cleaned out all the gunk. Both my switches look, feel and operate like new.
