My power mirrors have stopped working.

There is no call-out on the wiring diagrams on what fuse or relay (or both) manages the mirror motors.

I did check the cigar lighter fuse as that was mentioned elsewhere but no joy.

What fuse is it? 1998 F1 car...

    ...any other ideas?

That should be the one (fuse 25 on the 5.2 car). Maybe the plug on the back of the mirror control panel has come loose? All power goes through the control panel. Check for 12 volts power on the green wire going to the panel.

I checked the plug and it seems fine. I'll check for power on the green wire next.

    Thank you!

Just to clarify. On my '98 car, the cigarette lighter needs the ignition to be on and uses fuse 25. Early cars and perhaps other country cars may use fuse 19 (live battery power) for the cigarette lighter. AFAIK, the window/mirror heat and electric mirrors use fuse 25 on all 5.2's.

To check fuse 25, just turn on your window/mirror heat and make sure the light on the dash comes on (with the ignition on)
