That's true in the Ferrari world of manipulation and abuse from dealers, but not with McLaren. Besides, the 720 isn't a 'bridge car' for something else and the car isn't at a McLaren store.
Depends on dealer of the manipulation... over by my side to get a 675 LT; you already had to have been a customer and you had to consign a car to get one. If one was brand new to Mclaren and they wanted an early 720s then a special deal was set up to lease a 570s. There was requirements to get a Senna.
I'm tired of the BS from McLaren dealers. They really have as much arrogance as F-Car (in different ways). They all pull the same BS as most other exotics (I talked to every Mac dealer in US -- all of them at the GM level not some stupid floor ding dong). They play the same BS. This brand is no better/worse than any other. I've owned them all. If 720 is 370K MSRP or $330, it's all $300K in any dealers mind (screw the miles or year) on secondary. NOW, that is still better than 488 granted. And yes 720 is much more compelling then any 488. Done. Back to Lambo and screw the drama crap. Don't need the hate...giving real world experience. They all suck I guess, but Mac is not great.
I hear you brotha. I've seen all of the vids and drank the koolaid and ready with $300+ cash. Let me take a day or two to calm down...I do appreciate the 720 like no other. I really don't like the Mac dealers any better than F car BS. They are an arrogant bunch...then we get into price (and god these things drop). Listen I'm off soap box. Not meant to stir pot. I'm all in before years end but f' it. I'm not sold on Mac crap. Cars are killer to me--no hating here so pls don't start. Like many in this thread have said--where does my $300k+ cash go...only I can decide that. I get it. No wrong answer--I'm a car guy at end of day. I need to sleep and get back--thank you for listening. Papa wants a new toy for Christmas...
Try Ron at McLaren of Sterling, they have a few cars and are easy to work with. At least they have been with me. They are also a Lambo dealer so I ordered my Urus through them as well (and my M5). Let me know if you need a number.
Yes...I've got the dealers handled...Ron is a floor guy. Know Sterling well. Again, please let me take time--I was venting nothing more (or less). I appreciate the feedback as I truly value your opinion and always have. I know you have owned plenty and one of the reasons I've wanted 720. Give me a few days...
All dealers suck. Dont know what to tell you there but I hear you. Buy what sings to you and get the car that gives you the best overall experience. If its lambo, then its lambo. If its ferrari, its ferrari. If its a mac, its a mac. What I appreciate about the people on this thread is there is no blind allegiance to a brand or a car. We are all enthusiasts at the end of the day owning multiple brands. Drive in happiness.
Ok...I'm waking up and fog is clearing...let me get sorted. Just part of the 'buying process' no matter the brand. As you say SoCal, just car people at end of day. Happy weekend.
Agree dealers suck. I even have good friends who own large dealerships and I wouldn’t trust them further than I could throw them.
Sorry, but since still sorting Mac ... this finally got loaded yesterday ... brutal wait ... Back to Mac talk... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tires aren’t a mod to me. We all have to replace them eventually. I’d imagine Michelin PSC2’s would achieve a similar result. I’m stunned a stock car can do this that’s RWD. 9.79 at 145 mph....
It really is incredible. Some are getting their cars tuned and the cars are making another 100HP+, just a simple ECU program. Traction will always be the limiting factor, even if you hit it at 75mph it will spin.
