We took it out for donuts and coffee about 11am then I went back to the lake at 5. My car will be at naders for its annual and check up in December. Then staying at my buddy's at 97th & Yale while I recover from a little surgery. I'm sure it will get some use while he has it. He's driven it plenty.

You should hook up with that crew and do a few of their drives. They hit the Grand Lake area often and east of Tulsa for some of the better roads. Then if you have any issues you have plenty of support with you and a ride if she needs a flat bed back to Tulsa :( it happens to us all. No need to worry about potential issues. You've got to get that car out of the city and on some roads that you can enjoy. The roads they hit around Grand are some of the best I've ever been on across the country.

Tulsa has way too many red light racers for my taste. Dark window tint is your best friend :)

I was surprised with the turnout. Lots of hidden gems in Tulsa. There are several more that didn't make it Saturday. Serious cars. You should plan in the toy run in December. I doubt I will be ready but that will be a great time for you and all for a great cause. Also in August I put on a pretty big car show at the lake for the Humane Society. We had 70 cars this year in our inaugural event. Shooting for 100 in 2013. Raised some serious cash too.

Several of my friends have houses up here and we had a great turnout. Show is INDOORS at the Grove Civic Center too. No worries about heat or rain. Plan on it this year. You will be very impressed with the vehicles. Everything from exotics to some of the nicest American muscle and classics in the country. Show is free for everyone including food. Donations encouraged. Such a good cause as we need help with the shelter. It is in rough shape.

There is a thread in this forum from August and we are on Facebook. Search "Cars for Critters"

Tentatively set for August 10th this year. Noon to 3pm. Car get there from 9-11:30 so we can place all of the brands close together. And that evening there is a big Hoe Down dinner in the same building so the car is under lock and key if you decide to stay overnight. Lots of free food and some prizes this year. Every penny goes to charity. Monetary donations are great as well as any food/treats and other animal related items. 2013 will be much larger. I never dreamed we would have had 70 cars this year. It was an incredible event.

I am all about helping others for sure. Especially this time of year. Just let me get Kahled to look at the car Monday 11/26. I need his stamp before I take it to far. I am sure you no what I mean. The idea of flatbeds and support getting back to Tulsa should something happen just made my stomach sick...:>) Those are col pics though. I have lived in Tulsa since 1997. Where do these cars hide...?

All over the place. I have meets with people in Winfield, Wichita and Joplin. There are a major number of exotics in this area. Search for Crescent Classic for instance on this forum. Chris Parr puts a major event together in September every year where we have up to 50+ exotics for a 4 1/2 day weekend.
