PS: One of H's mates might meet us down there. Shame your passenger seat's taken as she's a nice bird. If anyone has space for a passenger, much obliged. If not, then she'll probably just pop into the Sanderson after. Off to wipe a wet rag over the car now............
I'll save time explaining tomorrow.......my car got dirty on the way, it was immaculate when I left home, and yes it has been cleaned in the last 6 months! Anyway, I might just bung it through the carwash just in case, Dale tells me that's what Ray does before the Ferrari conkers!
Now you tell me!!!!!! I've just spent the day Zymol'ing the car. I never want to see that stuff ever again.
Polish harder next time, so you can make that horrible 348 completely disappear and get yourself a 355!!!
Just in case: Here's the start point in case anyone missed it: 10:30 Meet up in south Carriage Drive, Hyde Park (Map below) 11:15 Start Route 1 11:55 Reconvene in South Carriage Drive 12:00 Start Route 2 01:00 Reconvene in South Carriage Drive and drive off to the Sanderson 01:30 Refreshments in Sanderson Hotel 03:00 Poseur Run ends..........but you can stay as long as you like. Yup, I agree, Dave (DB valeting) has got to be admired for his patience. i've given the sawdust special a rub down with 30 grit sandpaper, its looking good now! Nice of Dem to tell us this late in the day theres a foxy chick who needs a lift. Just phoned me bro in law to tell him he can't come and he's havin none of it. Cheers dem.
Should have bought a Mondial 2+2, eh?!?!?!?! Not 100% sure if she's gonna be able to make it, but if she does, you can always boot your bruv-in-law out just before the start!
On me way shortly, hope the weather is as good down there as it is up here guys! See ya shortly for a shandy!
It's a beautiful morning, no excuses (other than mechanical, traffic, family, or any of the other ones ...) jg
I'm off in 30 minutes. Will be there before 10am. Have fun, drive safely and make sure you use all 7,000 plus revs!
Wow, what a sight and sound. The West End was brought to a standstill today. Mant tourists filled tehir memory cards and telephones now haw Ferrari's as swallpaper. This needed to be seen and heard to be believed. I'm home earlier than the majority who should now be tucking into Sunday lunch, unless, of course ether were arrestes for blocking Parliament Square afeter I left. Many thanks to angelis and Dem for organising. No doubt there will be many pictures and videos later.
Another early leaver (the Daytona decided to misbehave - surprised it got home with all the coughing and spluttering. But the West End trip and Parliament square definitely had to be seen as Ken says. Limehouse link was shut. Which made the coughing and spluttering even more amusing. Not. (1'15" from Parliament Square to Canary Wharf - don't you love London!). Looking forward to everyone's photos and videos.
PS Hayley - really sorry to have to leave you in Angelis' hands. Must have been particularly embarrassing driving through town with everyone staring and sitting next to the Halifax man. Just make sure he agrees not to publish any or show them to his mates
You should have been behind you: Thought I'd have to put my fog lights on approaching Parliament Square! fun to see all the kids going "WOW" Thanks for organising Sy et al. jg
Now that was fun! Every Japanese tourist thought they had taken the wrong plane and ended up at Maranello (and I don't mean Egham!)! Today is what camera phones seem to have been invented for, there were hundreds of people taking pictures, and they ALL seemed to love the sight, and more importantly, the sound! The noise was awesome, and any matinee playing in either Shaftesbury Ave or Haymarket was thoroughly spoiled by those noisy show-offs! I'd like to thank Sy and Dem and Hayley for organising it all, it went very smoothly considering there were traffic lights every 4 inches! The biggest group I was in was 9 cars in Haymarket, and it looked brilliant! The Sanderson was a pleasant venue although I'm awaiting an answer on a re-mortgage before I visit their bar again!
second that motion - great fun and nice to meet some old fchat friends and new ones. Noise was awesome/ getting bollocked by a copper was one of the highlights "Sir, this is a government security area (Parliament Square), you should not really be parking your car on the double yellow lines in the middle of the roundabout!" oops. Cheers guys.
To all that missed today, you missed one of the best runs yet. Thanks to all, for making it worth while, sights and SOUNDS!
