Does anyone know the final production numbers for the (original) Portofino? From what I can establish, there may be 2,000-2,500 out there. A few produced in 2017, a few more in 2018, 2019 was when most were produced and then 2020 it was tailing off before production stopped in August 2020.

2000-2500 is very very low for an « entry-level » car into the Ferrari range.

Production numbers of the Portofino is almost 3 times that.

Without answering your question directly, here are data for the V8 GT cars (separated in the reports from the V8 Sports cars) as revealed in Ferrari annual reports. V8 GT cars had declining sales of 2015 with 2638 shipped, 2016 with 2247 shipped, and 2017 with 1619 shipped. The 1619 in 2017 was out of 8398 total cars shipped, i.e. V8 GT cars were 20% of shipments in 2017. In 2018 Ferrari reports 9251 total cars shipped. I have not seen reported shipments for V8 GT cars for 2018 onwards.

Thanks for the feedback so far. So if we assume circa 9,200 cars per annum of which 20% are V8 GT ie. just Portofino between 2018 and 2020 and adjust slightly for ramping up production in 2018 and ramping down in 2020. Profile may look like 2018 - 1,200, 2019 - 1,840, 2020 - 1,200 giving a total of 4,240 Portofino produced making it a relatively low volume GT. I still don't know why they stopped production so early when the M wasn't available yet unless to get economies of scale by producing the Roma and Porto M at the same time.
Any other views/insights into production numbers for the original Porto?

I'd say over 15000 at least. 2500? That's Pista and 812 GTS territory.

A few regular Portos are still in the pipeline. They have been produced and delivered all through 2020. It is the most produced Ferrari of its period which is basically a three year period.

Agreed that everyone would expect it to be a high production run but not many were produced in 2018, lots in 2019, then mass production stopped in August 2020.

In Ferrari's annual report I recall North America received about 60 Portofino's in 2020.
