    Hi everyone,

Thinking about buying a Ferrari, but due to a limited budget I only can afford one. I previously owned a regular Portofino for a year and loved every mile driving it. My main concern is buying an almost new (less than 100 km) Portofino M with full 7 year’s warranty or aged models but V12 such as GTC4 Lusso (please don’t advise me a Lusso T, I think this car should be only V12). Or may be even 812 Superfast.
Why can’t I just go for a 812? Because I need a four seater for my family with a 3yrs old daughter. And if my wife won’t kill me for buying Superfast I would have to buy something with four seats such as some generic SUV. I also would like to drive it if not daily but very very often. In the perspective of some years I could see that 812 ‘might’ age better than Lusso and of course better than Portofino, but I think I want to hear more voices and thoughts. Budget is around 250k€.

I would advise GTC4 Lusso or FF. Authentic V12 Ferrari experience and, I think a much safer to place children.

Heard a lot of notorious stories about this front wheels gearbox in FF. Most of them are well loved cars with many miles on them, this makes the choice harder, did they fought that with Lusso?

If you dont need the convertible aspect then get the V12. Otherwise, get the portofino.

Just to make sure - 7 year warranty does not exist (although the standard warranty could be renewed to extend its duration), seven year is for the maintenance (which, with modern cars having timing chains, more or less corresponds to annual oil changes - so not such a big deal). Apart from that, V12 is an upper class; but the ominous PTU of the FF / GTC4 may be a cause of concern.

FF - better looking than the Lusso, price point will be better to find a nicer example, and gives you 90% of the performance of F12.
