Portofino exhaust sound - solved!

Hey people,

I just wanted to reach out to all those Portofino owners that were as sad as I was about the exhaust sound and say ‘don’t despair’ there is a relatively unobtrusive and cost effective solution.

I just had the remote fitted to fully open the exhaust flaps (Novitec).. I had medium expectations. But it’s really blown my mind how a simple mod could make such a difference. It’s taken it from a truly underwhelming sound to a pretty impressive one.

ive tried recording it on my iPhone but it just doesn’t do it justice.

startup sounds like a proper Ferrari and I can now drive her at low speeds and appreciate the sound without having to be at full bar all the time hanging on by my fingernails.

So pleased.

no dash lights. No warranty issue (as far as I know) took 45 mins to fit. (At scuderia car parts in west london)

cost about a grand. Remote on a little fob and another in the cig lighter.

I’d just say. Don’t put up with the dull, desperately lame sound of the standard set up. Sodding sound emission laws.

That’s interesting..

Mine was shockingly quiet. And having had a pre-T cali, which sounded so lovely.. it was such a disappointment.

But I’m a big kid and love the sound more than almost anything else. (Other than the looks, the way it drives and some other bits )
