Just replaced my new OEM squealing Brembo pads on the 355 with new Porterfield pads from Ricambri and no more embarrassing squeal! Previously removed the OEMs and applied CRC Disc Brake Quiet and still only 50% better. Installed R4S-AP345 all around with the same CRC and 0% squeal.

Curious....Do they have anti squeak padding on the back?

    Yep.

My almost brand new OEM pads squeaked so badly; I replace them with the Porterfields and It's silent now! :)

1500 miles and the new Poterfields RS-4s are squealing!
Pulled the pads and applied new anti squeal and no difference!
    Poterfields are not the cure!

The R4-S compound will also decrease the brake dust volume.

Have you tried rebedding the brakes?

My stockers were squealing like a stuck pig, embarrassing when pulling up to the lights! I replaced with the Porterfields from Ricambi and silent as a church mouse now. Seems to be less dust now, at least on the fronts. Only been in for a few hundred k's so will see...

Old pads were about 1/3 of the new pads so not sure if that has an effect.

Interesting, i replaced OEMs with Porterfields to try to reduce brake dust (with some success). Unfortunately they immediately started to squeal during slow speed, low pedal pressure stops. I took the car to the track, four 20 min sessions and they squeal no more!

I had some initial success with the Poterfeilds and after a short period they sequel at low speeds just as bad as the stock ones did, proper break in was followed. Obviously not beating up on Poterfield here, the stock ones did it too, the common element is the car. I may start looking at other brakes, I am just sick and tired of this unfixable squeal.

I switched to the AXXIS semi-metalic pads. I also installed them with squeal plates. When I installed them, instead of using the anti-squeal spray on the back of them, I smear a layer of high temp grey silicone instead. They do not squeal and little to no brake dust. They are not for track driving but I have not had an issue with aggressive driving on the street.

Did the plates come with the pads or did you buy them separately, and if so where?

Removed the RS-4 pads and ground off the top of the material until the pores were clean and severely chauffeured the leading edge. The surface of the pads looked like cooled molted metal and were like glass. Cleaned off the original CRC "Disc Brake Quiet" (silicon type orangeish red) and applied the CRC " Disk Brake Quiet" spray (dark red in the spray can) and installed. My brakes are quiet again! Prefer the spray over the silicone tube as the silicone appears to wear down to metal/metal in a few miles. The theory to grind off the forward edge of the pad at a 45 is from a Brembo tech on another site. He said by the nature of the aluminum caliper they are not ridged enough to stop the high frequency vibrations and this was the best cure Brembo had found other than recasting the caliper in a higher tensile strength and heavier metal.
Will keep you posted as to the duration of this fix!

Squealing brakes are caused by the backing plate vibrating....not the pad surface that touches the rotor. Sand the backing plate flat and apply high temp anti-seize making sure they float inside of the caliper without binding. Sometimes the ears of the plate need to be filed. Always lube the pin as well.
