Yeah I saw that in the link but there’s no such thing as a 977 so it seems what I saw must have been a ‘polished up and newly re-registered’ 997
Perhaps a Cayman 718 or 719 which are not 911 models. Those cars are badged with the number on the rear deck lid. The 911 vehicle, 997 model does not have that (997) number badged on the rear deck lid. FYI
Unfortuntley Macan front timing cover leaks are a known problem https://www.pcarwise.com/local-help/used-porsche-buyers-guide/macan/ 40 hours or so, engine in and out. Apparently some of the independants have figured out a different way to fix it. Re Cayenne Mine is on it's 3rd engine, 1st replacement was warranty, second I did. Engine is coming out again soon for a gearbox input shaft seal. Great cars when everything is working ok. Taught me that you shouldn't own a newish Porsche unless its under some kind of extended warranty. M
No, it was definitely a 911 version so I think Horse is correct and what I read as ‘7’ was actually a ‘1’ with a long serif.
That's crazy! Sorry to read that Chin. I paid for the factory extended warranty when the standard one was ending on my old Macan, something I never normally do, 'cause I figured when I sold the car it should at least make it more attractive to buyers. Week before I sold it, sunroof started playing up. Three visits to the dealer and they ended up replacing the entire roof. Sure am glad I didn't have to pay for that! I dare say I'll take the warranty extension this time around too!
Lol, they always change the key batteries and put what they call rain repellent on the wipers so they always smear then charge because they smear, just tell them to f*ck off and change the batteries for £2 and leave the wipers as there is never a time they don't smear after they have been to the stealership
Dude take it to an independent and they will charge a fraction of the cost or get it cleaned up and take it to another opc and get the 111 check then get the warranty, it might not even be leaking a lot they just love to rip you off when our of warranty to scare you into taking it the next time. In UK it's so cheapI always buy it, £1600 for 2 years on cayenne. Good luck with it dude
Yep.. my sentiments as well but frustrating to see this practice and it’s a known issue. I’ve an Audi And it has an oil consumption issue. Well known yet they don’t acknowledge it.
Yep we were soooo happy to see the back end of ours....After 100,000 Kms we had major problems regularly....Would never buy another Porsche 4wd..Over rated HOS...
We had a 2006 Cayenne S which did have all three major problems costing about $2.4k each. But we did get a new special order 2017 Cayenne GTS and have had zero problems with it. The gen 1/2 Cayenne’s did have their share of problems and Porsche didn’t step up for them very well. I believe they may have discounted the repair bill a couple hundred dollars. Not sure what other Mfg. companies would have done?
Seems 2.4 911E’s are worth a bob, heaven knows what my Old 2.4S is now worth. https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2020-shannons-winter-timed-online-auction/D4FBDB72BXD0S1OZ/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
