Bob- When you get your new grille, you can measure the thing for our FChatter who is doing the license plate holder. Did you get a black one or a chrome one? They are different, but mount points are identical.

just measured my 575, the car has 18 inch michelin sport tires and the ground clearance is 61/2 inches at center of front clip.

talking about the ground to the underside of the winglets on either side, not the center.

how far off are they. Perhaps you can fab up some metal extentions to mate up or fiberglass new places on the 575 bumper to mate with the 550 chassis. Easier to cut the winglets like I thought.

Bob- Which brackets do not match, outer or inner? The same guys that had the bumpers will have the brackets, as well.

Ride height is completely adjustable in Maranellos and 599's, 360's, probably most recent cars. . I dropped my Superamerica and had it realigned, corner weighted.

I wanted to put a 550 front end on it when I had it, new parts from dealer were about 7k, unpainted, and it would have been worth it had I kept it. So don't worry about ground clearance.

Shocks have threaded collars for spring mounts, and are completely adjustable by cranking lower mount up or down prn. IIRC, there is a tool to make it easier, that works on many threaded collar spring mounts.
If this is restatement of info posted earlier, sorry, I didn't have time to read whole thread.
Lowering collar BTW does not change spring rates, only ride height. Doesn't effect dampers either.
    HTH.
Miss my Shark even with the 599. Pretty cars. Hope my old car got a good home.

'97 550 - completely standard wheels and tyres - 6" to underside of winglets. Had it checked by my dealer a few times and they say this is the correct ride height - grounds out all the time on UK roads - especially on country lanes where I live.

Bob- Try Specialized Italian Recycling. They parted out at least two 575Ms and showed parts of three bumpers the last time I looked. Ask for Josh. On my Blackberry so no access to their number. They are part of the Parts Planet complex in Sacramento.

Unfortunately the 550/575 are huge 4000lb pigs. So since they are so big what is a few more lbs? Has anyone thought about airbagging the front end so that you can lift the nose from inside the cabin by the flip of a switch? That can't be too hard.

Novitec makes a nose lift system for the 599. I wonder how many dollars it would take to get them to make one for a 550?
