I used to have a 308, but currently have a 328....the 308 is the more "classic" look, and really is the "original".
I can't vote on this because I love them both. They each have qualities that make them beautiful. Most favorites of both: Early Euro 308 with deep front spoiler and 16" Speedlines (Pentastars) and Early Euro 328.
328. The 308 has the classic wedge shape, but just dont like the out of place bumpers. the euro 308 look good tho.
85 308 QV...nicest of the bunch. And as stated earlier...controls inside are much nicer on the 308 than the mod look of the 328. I actually had the choice of my 85 308 or a 86 328...went for the 308...liked the more classic look all around.
Its quite a toss up...I like the bumper and hood treatment of the 328, however, the Euro bumpered QV cars with the deep spoiler are really hot. Also, the 328 lost some of the interior "sex appeal" when they moved the two gauges from in front of the shift console and put them on the dash above the radio. They also changed from the chrome ringed gauges to the black plastic. I think they look hot in silver, black or grey. Although I've seen a green metallic and a "tobaco" colored 308 that were very attractive. Hey, as long as its not red!
Two pages from the esteemed F-Chat community, and still nobody has posted the correct answer, you guys let me down. Just to settle this once and for all, the one true all deciding answer is: both!
I prefer the 328 (I guess that's obvious) but I have a soft spot for an early 308 GTB with a deep from Euro spoiler. Yeah, that'd be nice.
Having just bought a 308 - my first Ferrari - of course I'm voting for that, in GTS form. But all this talk about little black bumpers did make me go outside and look at them and think - hmm, they are kind of weird. Personally I like the older look inside - more classic car than just old modern.
I was not even in my teens when the 308 came out. However I was already interested in cars and in all the years since I thought that the car has no real "face" and that the bumper looks awkward. When the 328 came out I already had my drivers license and I remember clearly how pleased I was about the visual improvement. I still think that the 328 is the most beautiful Ferrari built in the last 25 years (with the 355, 456 and 360 not far behind it). But meanwhile I have also made my peace with the 308 front bumper and think that it, too, is a good looking Ferrari.
If I could have one of your cars it would be the MGA. Seems like a coupé, or is it a convertible with hardtop ... ?
Stock for stock I like the look of the 328 better. However my favorite in the "308" body style is the 288 GTO.
308 all the way. They ruined one of the best looking cars of all time by sticking that butt ugly flat front on it.And don't even mention that rear skirt. Steve
I have been a fan of 3x8 for a long while and never thought about having to choose between 308 and 328. I definitely love GTB version. I felt in love with 308 from Tom Seleck's 'Magnum'. However, after seeing a lot of photos I think 328 GTB is the prettiest. But as we all know life is not perfect so I finally just got a 328 GTS as in my country there are less than 10 328s and I think only 1 328 GTB. But since I've got it I have enjoyed every moment of it. So 328 all the way.
The more I see the 308GTB QV with the big wheels and the deep front spoiler, the more I like the original "Thomas Magnum". The tight nose, the rightness of the wheels... like the original Gandini Countach or the Series 1 Jaguar E-Type or the split window Corvette Sting Ray... the original 'back of the napkin' design is the way it was intended.
