I dislike the chin spoiler as well...it unbalances the look. That said, I think the rear looks unfinished compared to the 328. Perhaps a Euro front 308 with a 328 rear bumper? :)

328 from the beginning. I like its front, the body-colored bumpers, and interior better. Prefer the GTB (I have a GTS), euro side view mirrors, and now the "ugly" ABS wheels :) have grown on me.

See, to me the Euro bumpers don't look good. When I purchase a 308 I always want a US spec car for many reasons but one being I like the bumpers. The Euro bumpers make the car look a little cheaper IMO.

    I am a traitor, i know...
I own a 328, but the look of a euro 308 QV with deep front spoiler...
And by the way, the best still remains the 208 turbo with black grill and deep spoiler (I am in office, sorry no pictures available...)

    Ciao

I'm a fan of the black bumpers (hell, I have two Ferraris with them). The 308 does it for me.

In either case, the GTB has much cleaner lines (IMHO). Better handling is an added bonus.

I have been trying to decide this for almost two years now myself, As for as looks only, 308 all the way !! I love the "pointiness" (sp?) of the car, just seems smaller lighter more exotic. Performance 328, but interior also has to go to the 308. To me the interior especially around the shift lever in the 328 seems like something is missing.

My most favorite car has to be the 308 QV of Mike Charness, With Euro spoiler. LOVE the GTS/B conversion he has done, GTS for sunny says, clean lines of the GTB for not so sunny or cold days. Way to go Mike !!!
(Plus I might be a little partial since it was the car I had my first Ferrari expirence in ;-)

308 Euro front, or better yet 288 front
    328 Euro rear

The 328 rear is a lot more refined, but I prefer the pointy 308 nose. Best looks with the added lights and wing a la GTO.

One cool thing I once saw was a 308 with a 288 Evoluzione rear.

Stock carb 308, preferably with a tan interior. As for colours, well...I guess I'm hoplessly conventional given that I love red. However, a 308 looks pretty nice in black and silver.

I may ruffle a few feathers but here goes:

    - Best of the bunch are the early glass or steel carburetted 308 GTB's (1977 and earlier before the extra lovers were added to deck lid) with the shallow chin spoiler and euro bumpers.

    - Worst of the bunch has to be the 1989 328 GTS with the convex wheels.

    - For me the GTS's are bastard cars made for the American market.

    - GTB's are by far the nicest with more flowing lines, the rear quarter windows, and a stiffer chassis.

    - For me the 328 does nothing while the 308 does everything. I remember seeing a 308 for weeks and a 328 I forget as soon as it is out of sight. Not that it is an ugly car but I think that they added too many bits to the car and it looks plasticy. Kinda like the late Countach compared to the early Lp400 Countach (one of my all time favs).

I prefer the looks of the 308 over the 328.

The arrow like nose is much more aggressive looking, but only as a euro model. The smaller bumpers are nice, I also like the louvers body colored as on the Euro version, no rear valence and The deep spoiler. I also really like the interior of 81 and older 308s the switches are nice and there is a nice splash of chrome.

The 328 has a great engine, but I don't like the black front spoiler and the flat (mondial like) grill. The rear is really nice though. The interior is very eighties with all the plastic and the orange gauges, but I do like the hand brake being out of the way.

I voted for the 308, but I'd buy a 328 if given the choice.

On the contrary, controversy makes for a more interesting chat room

    Agreed

What about those early injected 308's with those God-awful bumpers?

Now, now...would you put that label on Piero Ferrari?

Hmmmm....I'm starting to see a bit of a campaign for those GTB's

Sounds fair, and I second the motion regarding the LP400. Love those early clean lines.

328 GTB: The smoother lines and body-colored bumpers are the best of the series. Interior is the nicest as well.

The 308's look good as well, but the 14" wheels on earlier versions would have to go. A 308 with 16" or 17" wheels look much better, IMO. The black bumpers look bulky with some colors (red, yellow, white). They blend in better with black or silver cars.

I agree that GTB's look better in general. From what I've researched they are also more watertight and the body is stiffer. However, I may have to resort to the GTS, Tom Selleck style, because of my height. We shall see. It will be a Cardinals or Packers hat instead of Tigers, however.

Compared to normal cars, all of these things will stop most people in their tracks, so we are trying to pick the best-looking sister out of a family of beauty queens. Color seems important to the shape of these cars as well to my eye. Red, blue, silver, and black look good. I personally don't care for green, yellow, brown, etc.

Ditto here. Great post Nuvolari! I love SNJ's solution for the 328 however.

Always a 328, either gts or gtb they are so much more beautiful. IMHO.

The 328 wheels ruin it for me. I like the dishes of the 16" 308QV wheels...

I love the 308 GTB with Euro chin spoiler. I do prefer the 328 overall, but I don't think it's worth the price difference between the two.
