Hi - I'm planning a trip to the COTA F1 Grand Prix this year with my family. Having never been before, I'd love to hear any recommendations for locations to buy tickets. It looks like you have to buy the same ticket for all three days. There seems to be quite a spread in prices. For example at the turn 12 bleachers they are around $400 a ticket, but at turn 13, they are $1350 a ticket. I can't quite tell what the difference is between the two locations. Maybe Turn 13 is covered?

Is it better to buy a parking pass, or use Uber? My wife will likely be joining us for the trip but will not be attending, so I was wondering if it's better to have her drop us off? I'm not sure what the traffic will be like - I'm guessing a mess!

    Any suggestions are very welcome!!

    Thanks!

When I went in 2015 I stayed in Seguin (east of San Antonio, south of Austin) where lodging was cheap and there was no race hoopla, if you like it that way. Then you can shoot up the TX-130 toll road (speed limit 85!) directly to the track.

I parked off site at a nearby high school and took a shuttle bus to the track. Considering how much faster we got to our cars and underway after the race than the people who parked at the track, I think that's the way to go. I think I was back in Seguin before half the people who parked at the track had even left the premises!

Thanks for the info - I'll definitely look into that.
