So, for that much money, it should come with a complete inspection so that you don't need "some work". The only thing I would be concerned with would be all the fluids and deferred maintenance and if it had any problems at delivery that were never addressed because it was never really run. Most likely when the 1st owner got it it had 75 delivery miles already on it.

I cannot tell you the value of the car. Its whatever the market brings. Is a Bitcoin worth $100K? Some people obviously think so. There's no right or wrong answer.

But, the real question is, do you love it? Because if you do, never let a right car for you go for a few thousand bucks. You don't buy these everyday. This is not a contest to find the cheapest one out there. Its to find the right car for you that you can afford and enjoy owning (and hopefully driving).

And I think that is one of my issues with such low mileage. Its what you intend doing with it. You may be overpaying for a car with only 600 miles on it and plan to drive 10K miles a year. If that's the case, you're probably better off finding one with higher mileage at a lower cost.

But only you can answer that question.

Excellent points for 800k there are a lot of choices out their so you can get exactly what you want Color ,body style,if you going to drive the car then a 600 mi car is only ok if you get the original warranty go and shop around a bit

It is ferrari certified. I will have to see what the warranty is. I thin think it has a factory extended warranty on it

Looks like a big MSRP car. Tons of options and special paint. Very rare spec and ultra low miles. That price reflects the one of a kind slot that car resides in.

Surely for a low mileage car to maintain its value it must continue not to be used and so the warranty is irrelevant ?

Yeah, I hate cars like this…. it’s a damn shame if you drive it, and a damn shame if you don’t.

Judging from the OPs asking about value, this is a significant purchase for him. If I was in the same position (with a much smaller budget of course), I wouldn’t buy a car just to look at, or destroy the premium by driving it.

There is no better modern Ferrari V8 than the Pista Spider. Best of all worlds IMHO. I bought my old one back last year because I couldn't find a car that checks all the boxes the way a Pista does.

That spec is unique and as someone else mentioned it, if you love it, you'll be hard pressed to find one like it again. Pricing is based on MSRP and miles. With only 600 miles, it's essentially a new car. So yes, you are paying a slight premium for that.

As far as service, these cars came with 7 years of included maintenance at no cost. I can't see anyone avoiding service as most dealers will hound you to service it - and they do free pickup and drop off, at least every dealer I've ever worked with. The dealer can confirm the service history easily.

600 miles is not that low for a 4 year-old special edition Ferrari. If it was driven an average of 150 miles in 4 years, that's not terrible. Remember folks who got these cars new typically have collections of cars from which to choose - and many lack the time - and season - to drive it more than that (ask me how I know lol).

If it's being sold Ferrari Certified, confirm it has the 1 year power warranty - that should give you additional peace of mind.

With respect to service/maintenance, keep in mind, even though Ferrari provides 7 years of service, they will not perform fluid changes unless the computer calls for it and that require significant mileage or at least extra time. I have paid out of pocket for multiple oil changes because the computer did not require it. Because of the low miles, this car will likely have “required” far fewer oil changes, at least by Ferrari standard protocol.

Thank you Gentlemen that is all very good information. I love the car but will have to sell my F8 spider for me to feel comfortable with the purchase if you can think of anybody that would possibly be interested. I have a 21 spider in Rosso 70th with Nero interior. 440 sticker car with 2500 miles

600 miles in 4 years?....oooff this car sat a lot. Have you looked at the service records? Even with that I'd have the oil changed, brake fluid flushed and probably transmission fluid changed. Check to see belts were changed and check on the battery.

Since I own a Pista Spider with about 600 miles, I would say it's worth One Billion Dollars.

  14. Those words literally do not make sense to me.

And I scored a perfect 800 on the verbal portion of the SATs.

That sentence actually hurts my ears.

fully agree BUT ONLY if you intend to drive it like 10 miles per month.... if you plan to USE the car, I agree with others that buying a 5 yr old, 600 mile car doesn't make sense.

agree again... and I bet this car has had ZERO or 1 oil change since new. They haven't even changed my oil in 2 years and I have 7700 miles on mine... I'm assuming they will in February 25 finally and if computer still says no, I'll pay and do it, of course.

Just pay and be done with iyt. Ferrari realised they were paying too much for annual oil changes.

Turbos max 12 month oil change. If it were easy and do it myself I would change every 6 months as I do on my WRX. But i do much more mileage on her

I have a very very similar spec’d 2020 Pista Spider with about 7k miles on it. Cannot for the life of me figure out how someone can own one of these and not drive it regularly, unless of course your garage is so stacked you can’t get to it. I have to demonstrate an incredible amount of self control not to drive mine at least once every single day and to save it for the weekend.

I just had my oil and fluids changed last week with no lights at no charge. Also had it inspected and renewed the warranty.

Wow, an 800? Folks, it appears we are in the presence of greatness! Since it didn't make sense to such a brilliant intellect, please allow me to rephrase.

"Six hundred miles, in a vehicle as special as a Ferrari Pista Spider, is not that uncommon over the course of a 4 year time period."

If that one still doesn't make sense, perhaps you can use ChatGPT to help translate it to meet your intellectual needs.

Back to the OP - as I pointed out in my original post, it's not always easy to put miles on these cars, especially when you have a sizable collection of cars and limited time to enjoy them. If I were you, I would make sure it's current on service, add the warranty, and drive it! You will not regret it.

Time is more valuable than money and miles.

With free service yearly they gave me two oil changes reaching 1,500k (free). I bought extended factory warranty until 2026. If it has extended warranty no worries. Check if the Lithium battery was changed. I had to replace mine at 7,300$. These engines are sealed tight with dry sump not too much moisture impact if they sit. I would not hesitate to buy the aforementioned Spider (providing I checked all service records).

One year makes a difference. 2018 488 GTB and so far, 6 oils changes and one more to go.
