From what i understand there will be no lighter version Tributo i.e. Pista replacement, so im slightly confused about the future Ferrari Models. Are Ferrari just going to be releasing a lighter weight variant option of each model like the did with the SF90 and 296 (Asseto fiorano packages) or what is the future of the V8 model range especially the scud, speciale, pista segment or do we consider the 296 to be that......even though the just released the competizione for the Superfast??
Don’t think any of us really know what the future will hold. No one would have thought they would have been down to only 2 models to order. If anyone does know they would be under a NDA and couldn’t discuss. There will be lots of speculation so I guess we just have to wait for spy shots.
think that will have the effect of making a lot of people reluctant to buy not knowing whats coming next especially for the special models
It will have an affect of some people but the other way to look at it is they sell every car they produced. The 296,which does not have many fans on fchat, is now closing the order books as they have enough orders for every one they produce. People will line up to buy any car Ferrari produces. The purist will be disappointed but there is no shortage of people willing to spend lots of money on the cars.
When Ferrari win the F1 Constructors championship this year, they will be obliged to make a 17M version of the F8 of which they'll build about 1000 of the planned 499 limited editions.
it's hard to know what the future holds, the cars are going to be heavier and heavier and imo 'lighter' special editions will be rarer
if i was looking for a 458 it would be a speciale only.the drive of the pista 488 f8 is amazing.i was going to purchase a 458 speciale drove it and than drove a 488 and i was blown away i got the 488 gtb and now got a f8 ,if i was going to get a 458 it would be a speciale only imo the 458 looks wise is dated speciale on another level, end of the day 458/488 pista f8 are all last of an era
As GH said this is not correct. Some Race cars are still N/A. Take a look at the future 296 gt3. No hybrid as the regulations do not allow it. https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/competizioni-gt/articles/296-gt3-the-first-sketches-of-ferraris-future-in-gt-racing exact quote is “The 296 GT3, already being assembled at the Oreca di Signes plants, will mark the return to the track of a Ferrari equipped with a 6-cylinder engine, even though – in compliance with technical regulations – it will not be equipped with the electric unit”
Agreed. Probably wasn't accurate enough. GT3 cars will be NA as well as V12 (812). All other cars will move to Hybrid including Icona.
Pista successor will be the 296 VS as the 296 is the homologation model for the GT and Challenge Racing cars. like it always was: 360 GTC - 360CS 430 GTC - 430Scud 458 GT3/E - 458 Speciale 488 GT3/E - 488 Pista 296 GT3 - 296 "VS light" (but with the hybrid I suppose)
Which current Ferrari race car is N/A? Do you know what N/A (Natural Aspiration) means? It means no turbocharging or supercharging...
