no way. Less than $400 for sure...probably $375 with most of the normal options. You can get a 812 with normal options for around $400k
In Europe base price for the Pista is slightly higher than 812 base price; in the end I think prices will be very similar between both cars.
2009 430 MSRP $188 2009 Scuderia MSRP $239 (?) Scud MSRP was +50k 2015 Italia had a MSRP of 239. 2015 Speciale has a MSRP of $291. Speciale MSRP was +50k 2018 488 coupe MSRP of $252,800 Pista MSRP should be +$50k..$309,900 is my guess. The interesting aspect of the Pista is that it comes with a ton of stuff. The base interior is pretty perfect. Add CF here and there, black tips...stripes. Basically, copy the launch car and the total tab should be less than $400k.
The gap for MSRP is larger - in France it's about EUR 66K between GTB and Pista whereas it was about EUR 35K between Italia and Speciale (all base prices incl. VAT)
Definitely agree, my guess is 812 starting price whatever that is in local regions. I expect alteast a $100k CAD delta, which is $70kUS.
Interesting on our neck of the woods the 488 came in cheaper than the 458 by just over 10%. But on the other hand we pay close to double than the USA. Our drive away price with all taxes for the base 488 with no extras is $515 k AUD or $385 USD. Over here the base price is close to the 812 which is $622 k so about $100 k drear i.e about $75 k dearer for the USA my guess $325 K USA
I had my Pista configurations done by Wide World Ferrari I did a quick job on it because I had little time when I was there. But in the future the complete configurations will be done.
I fully loaded my spec (triple pint /cf wheels/ cf everything). When I see the msrp, I may dial it back. I did skip CarPlay. $4k and no touch screen.
Not sure what's the case in other markets, but in France the PPAC package has been made mandatory with the corresponding price increase. This pack includes CEFS, CEIS, CEL2, CEXD, CISC, CITZ and EXAT. All these options had prices in the list posted here before, now they are no longer options and their prices have been included in the base price (making it about 10% more than the price of a 812). It means that for a given budget there are less possibilities than initially expected to play with the choice of options.
That's a steep price increase for the 812 - it's reported at €296K in some sites (sportauto.fr - which may not be accurate, they still have the price for the Pista at €292K, i.e. not including PPAC; they have a correct €226K price for the 488 GTB though).

Has anybody configured their interior with the standard "Blu"? The Personalization Programme brochure says that "the cabin stitching and embroidered Prancing Horses on the headrest are in the same colour as the inserts". However, as you can see from this image they aren't even close? Anybody else experience this? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wouldn't worry too much about how things look on the configurator. Unfortunately colors are way off. For example, it was disappointing how orange rosso corsa looked when I configured my Pista. I had to set it to night mode to get a real feel for it. As for the stitching, I'm sure your dealer has the stitching swatch samples.
Hi Guys, Found this article from April. Scroll down for the MSRP...$315k. Makes sense. http://www.nydailynews.com/autos/latest-reviews/what-its-like-to-drive-ferrari-488-pista-review-article-1.3945287 T&J
You're welcome. As far as options go, keep in mind that many things that were optional on a 488 GTB/Spider are standard on the Pista (Shields, certain CF options, CF seats, etc.). So the price difference is not as huge as one is made out to think. The 458 Speciale base price was slightly higher than a 458 Spider, Ferrari took a similar approach here with pricing and also will do the same with production numbers. Yet I got flamed for posting this many months ago.
