From one FerrariDude to another, I own a pair of Ferrari Pumas right now and am looking for a new pair of shoes, I like the Pumas and I still am contemplating whether to get Pilotis. Now only if Pilotis came in bright red, I'd be set.
Best of luck on shoe choosing.

I think the Pilotis are designed more with driving and style in mind, while the Pumas are more fashion orientated.

I have worn my Piloti shoes for almost 2 years straight everyday and My feet are killing me. Just dont get stuck in the mall or worse Monterey for the entire weekend with them.

I was going to get the ferrari pumas but then I thought what would I wear them with???

I don't plan on wearing them everyday of the week. maybe 3-4 days a week I would wear them to school. They can't be much worse than the pumas I have now.

I have puma speedcats -- nice, but a bit chuck-taylor like in that there's practically no sole.

    great for driving, though :)

I had a pair of Piloti g16's a while back. Not bad for an everyday shoe. Mind you I don't walk much. I have been using puma roma's as daily shoes for a few years now. No problems. I have a pair of puma future cats as well. Absolutely awful shoe.

I wore my speedcats for a year staight. Would the pilotis be about the same? I have another pair of shoes for beaters and stuff like that.

I just bought a pair of Piloti Monaco's. I like them, but probably not a replacement for an everyday shoe.

    I have pilotis and pumas.

I think the pilotis are fine to wear everyday. The soles are comfortable for walking and the shoes are pretty durable.

There are certainly better competition shoes out there, but the piloti is a good choice for a combination casual shoe/driving shoe.

I've heard complaints of wear with the Piloti's especially in the uppers where the show creases when walking. Not sure if that's still the case but the guy I talked to had gone through a couple of pairs with the same problem.

Yep. Mine are actually cracking. I don't wear them much. I wore them to go karting a few months ago and was so glad to get them off after a few hours

The speedcats are better but take some getting used to

The Prototipo is a bad shoe for daily wear. I find the sole pretty hard and unforgiving. Great for driving, less so for standing around.

I haven't tried the new Mulholland.

I have a pair of Puma Speedcats too, and they aren't much for daily wear either. As someone mentioned, the sole is very thin.

My choice for daily wear is the Piloti Spyder with an insole for added cushion. The springy laces makes fitting an insole simple and comfortable.

Interesting replies. I will probably get the prototipo hopefully. They can'e be that much worse than my spedcats now.

Us FerrariDudes must think alike, I am also leaning towards a pair of prototipos to replace my (blazing red) speedcats. Let us know what you think when you get them.

I have 2 pairs of Piloti's and wear them often, they are great. :)

I wouldn't say they are better or worse vs. Puma, just different.

Yes. Great minds think alike. I probably won't be getting them until August since I dont want to wear them out over the summer and have them look crappy for school. Plus it is near y birthday :D I will let you guys know what I think when I get them.
