The 430 Challenge is a race car and i doubt you're going to see any of the options you list on that car...;-)

The options list is from the regular 430.

    Cheers

those options look like the standard F430 options. I don't think someone with a F430 challenge would want all due to wieght, and race requirements.

The Challenge car exists already since 2005. It is a race car, not for road use.
Hmmm, he is right about the Ferrari Washington website though. Mysterious!!

Dealers can make mistakes, we all know that...,-)

I've yet to see a driver on his Bluetooth phone during a Challenge Series race and then get out of his heated leather seats - after having it parked by using the rear park sensors of course - pick up his tailor made Schedoni luggage from the boot and checking the tyre temperatures of the runflat tires...;-)

Seriously, the F430 Challenge is not street legal and used exclusively on the track.

    From the Ferrari Washington Website:

    "Ferrari F430 Challenge Automobile
While we'd really like to see an F430 Challenge Stradale (Stradale meaning street), we have to admit that this is one badass car despite the fact that it won't be legal for road use. The lightweight car (only 2,695 lb) uses the same 490-hp, 4.3-liter V-8 as the roadgoing F430, a car which we place near the very top of our all-time favorites list. Many modifications make the Challenge suitable for hard-core racing competition such as adjusted fifth- and sixth-gear ratios, a more durable two-plate clutch, carbon ceramic brakes, permanently disengaged electronic traction and stability control programs, a stiffer suspension, a new exhaust, integrated pneumatic jacks, and a stripped down interior.

The track-going F430 will compete in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli racing series alongside the Ferrari 360 Challenge car next season, and the F430 will completely replace the 360 for the 2007 campaign."

    Well, therefore, nothing new.

Run Flats on a challenge car? That's where I knew for a fact that the Washington dealership had made a mistake.

i know the f430 challenge is the race/non-legal on-road car.
but i don't know what exactly makes it non-legal as a on-road vehicle in the u.s.?
    can someone itemize the difs?
or the difs b/t the 360c and 360cs?
i take it there must be some major difs since no one converts them to road cars.

    thanks for any response!

I'm no expert, but from what I know here's a few showstoppers:
    1) Street legal cars require gas tank fill inlets that only work with a standard non-leaded pump nozzle (see photo).
    2) Not illegal but good luck changing to a spare on a back country road (see photo).
    3) There's bound to be something illegal about the interior (see photos). For example... no airbags?
    4) And lastly, in order to drive a car in the U.S. it must be registered. In order to register it you need a title. Challenge cars come with a bill of sale, not a title. I have been told this is because Ferrari doesn't want them on the street - ever.

A person would have to be a baller just to spend this type of cash to have a car that he can use only in the track. Crazyy!!!

Btw - what the 2 guys are doing with the fuel jugs is this. 1 guy fills the car full of gas. The guy on the other side is putting an empty jug into the far side of the car to let the system breath..so to speak. Otherwise the filler risks a having the gas splash back at him....or on the car.

The cars don't get an MSO. All race cars come on bills of sale. That includes Ferraris or a Formula Mazda...so not just Ferrari Challenge cars.
