Wheeew! Now I know what Jordan goes through all the time. It took me over 1 hour to put them all up. But in the end, I think it was worth it.

David, excellent pictures. Special thanks go to everyone who brought their cameras out that day!

Next Ortega run, 74 to the 15 to the 79 to the 76, right turn up Mt Palomar Rd, down the same way, right to continue on the 76, right again to get to the 15 and back through Ortega again or end up in Carlsbad by the beach for a little R&R. The 79 adds 45 miles and change to the overall trip length as does returning via Ortega. Whole trip length is just under 190 miles not including commute time and lunch visit.

Anytime someone in OC or SD wants to run the extended route, I'll go as passenger or even if its a 2 car caravan. It is the best day route in OC and LA.

I have a mystery run that takes up 264 miles, also tried and true (I ran it with a friend last last year). It takes us from Westwood to the coast to the Cold Springs Tavern. From there I will leave the rest to your imagination. You'll see highway, ocean, rolling hills, forest, a tiny bit of desert, and a lot of mountains. Don't let the mileage intimidate you, some of these roads are extremely fast and all smoothly paved with breathtaking scenes and good visibility. V1 HIGHLY recommended front and rear. The fastest I've ever been in a car (150mph) was in an XJR planning this route. If it sounds intersting, let Byron, J-L, or myself know. I'll drive it for the fun of it.

    Hey Everyone,

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to post until now - the pictures turned out great! I agree, David, you have a natural talent for photography! You too, jordan.

Thanks for all the great pictures, guys. The drive was definitely eventful - we had a little of everything that day! As far as cars were concerned, it was a nice turnout in the morning - F40, 360 Challenge Stradale (!!), 348, 355, 360, 365, Mondial, 308, NSX, XJ6, M3, Diablo VT... just to name a few!!

Thank you Kevin and Sunny for your joint efforts in coordinating this event. I still feel a bit guilty for picture #19 (it was me leading everyone up that street! - sorry...oops!) :( All in all, though, it was a safe day - aside from the tragic mishaps we heard about with the motorcyclists out there, there were no tickets and no accidents on our end.

Thanks again everyone for your patience (and endurance) on a very long drive ... and for making it a very fun and exciting day! :) It was great to see everyone again and meeting so many new faces as well. Rick - we definitely need to get your car on the road again so that you can join us on our next one! For those of you that missed this one, we will be having future drive events. We have received lots of great feedback/input/suggestions from individuals that participated in this event, and plan to incorporate their ideas in our future events... thanks!

Just as a side note, we are planning to put together a short movie from the event onto a cd - Special thanks (in advance) to the efforts of Chris Cummings and Charles Ferrari. All participants from this event will receive a free copy of the cd, courtesy of FDC. I will keep you guys posted once these are available.

As far as december drives go... there is a Malibu Rat Pack drive (for Ferraris only) that is scheduled for 12/14 for the local malibu canyon area. We are tentatively going to host a dromo1 indoor go-karting event, but this is pending scheduling availability with the karting facility.
Also, FDC is sponsoring a toy drive for Make-A-Wish foundation (A separate thread will be made with details).

    Stay tuned!!

    Thanks.
