Ahhh, the man in the know! The way she told me the story, she made me think that she purchased it that way. It was still good to see a woman very much into cars like she seemed to be. Thanks for the real story
Now for two of the better cars (IMHO) in the show that everyone may have overlooked! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Come on. There were more than two mondi's there. I saw 5 (not at the same time). Kudos to Ed for moving his Mondi out of the spot light and off the red carpet for the McLaren. Always thinking of the underdog. Ed's a good man
Clyde's right: 2 Mondi t cabs (Parham and Barry) Ed in the 3.2 cab Silver Coupe ...and... the really nice couple in the parking lot in the back with the t cab. I traded convertible top stories with the t cab owners. The cabs all were red w/tan interiors and black tops.
Yo. I liked Jim's car so much at Americana, that I gotz 2 P4/5s on order, zen. When I get 'em there's not gonna be no security. We gonna roll out HARDCORE style to my massive crib in the Hamptons. See, I gotz to have 2 so that one can be at the Beach and the other can be in the City at my UES townhouse. Jim be doin' the right thing securing his mad cool whip. But when I get mine they be pale immitations of the original so no security necessary. See what I'm sayin'? Check it, though, when I crashed my buddy Stefan's Enzo a while back it ain't no thing. There's another 399 of them bad-boys runnin' around the world. . P4/5? Only 1, chuck. That is until mine get in. Gonna be the first of their kind -- original immitations made in Armenia by my cousin. What what? Aight, peace-out homeis. I got to get back to my mansion in Vegas. The suspension bridge is goin' up today. (My own personal bridge) so I gotz to make sure that everything goes MY WAY. -Rene
Interesting -- I found the color and lighting in Hubi's engine bay cool as well. My shot is nearly the same as yours! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The mondials always have a few fans. Doug, your car is lookin great; glad to see you got things sorted out from last week. Sorry I had to cut you short when we were talking... hopefully I can catch up with you next weekend. I'll let you know if I'm going. This definately was one of the best shows I've ever been to.
The chrome really toys with the auto white balance and light metering functions of most cameras - you may want to meter around the other areas of the engine and then shoot the image in Raw to adjust the shot - thats what I usually do. Beautiful shots in all thugh - kudos!
Most of use use p&s cameras which don't shoot in RAW. I messed with the shot in photoshop and liked the outcome.
Inconceivable that this didn't win Best in Show. No, this is not a photoshop gag. This is uncorrected. This is a pink Lamborghini Espada. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thats nothin' When I shoot a gig, I usually fill up 2 4GB cards with 8.2MP Raw images before the day is out. That works out to about 2k images - I can't help myself when I see so many beautiful cars!
Yea that's what I asked a few pages back lol...did ANYBODY stay until the end?! By the way, was your Porsche the silver one in the picture below? http://image59.webshots.com/159/7/35/38/2086735380098082168vFlcbg_fs.jpg
