For those that have asked, I'm driving down to Fort Lauderdale to Tim Stanford's next Saturday, the 25th, to pick up my car, now that he has completed my major service, going to haul it back to Central Florida where I live, but I'm going to spend the night down there and drive back on Sunday. So if anyone wants to get together at Tim's or for lunch or dinner while I'm in the area, please let me know

Not going until this Saturday, I know it might be a bit hectic with holiday traffic, but we'll see.

Finally got the car home at 10:30 last night, left at 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning! Got down there in good time. Spent about 4 hours with Tim Stanford, loaded the car up, headed home and blew a tire on the U-Haul car hauler trailer about 2 hours from home, had to wait 3 hours on the side of the highway for roadside service, they finally came and replaced two tires. One blown one that looked like it was about to blow, so we finally rolled in late last night, going to unload my car sometime today, too much info to list here about the time we spent with Tim, will post later!

Ok, I have to ask, why trailer it? Why not just drive it? Could you find someone to "give you a lift" to Ft. Lauderdale and then drive it back home? Mondials are not that fragile :)

I assume you're either selling it or really conscious about the mileage, so no worries, I'm just teasing :)

I had thought about taking the new bright line train down to Fort Lauderdale driving the car back, but considering that the car just had a major service, and the possibility that some faults may show up, I didn't really want to drive it four and a half hours in holiday traffic, and possibly get stuck on the side of the road for some issue.

Ironically, you did get stuck by the side of the road due to the trailer issue. Sorry to hear!

Indeed! But the car is fantastic! I've driven it "as Enzo intended" the past 2 days!
