i was asked by one of my Clients (footballer) to photograph his latest purchase.. he kindly allowed me to post a pic on here
i dont normally like after market 'modified' Ferrari's, however,
this one did look (and sound*) very nice. would be nice to photograph a 'standard' 430 right next to it for direct comparision. wheels are spit rim 19"
its got the 'ceramic' discs (i didnt know they were so big - the discs not much smaller than the wheel!) silver with privacy glass ... cool...

*Doesnt sound as nice as my decat Tubi 348 though!

Do you know you can put a smaller one on the front?

I agree about aftermarket kits on Ferraris. Generally not very classy I'd say, but that does look very good. I think it would look less good in red though

That does look very very good. Too bad it's because of the photo effects (e.g. squashing to make look lower/wider + playing with lighting) and not the way the car really looks... Still - would love to have one and cane it to the MAX!

The car has'nt been 'squashed' i retained the original proportions.
The Harmann body kit / side skirts etc make the car look more 'squat' and wider, they also decrease the gap between the car and the road, making the car look lower. Lighting was nothing special either, one white 'flag' and one silver reflector - no flash or artificial lighting was used.

Sorry Kirk, but it does look like you've Photoshopped it a good bit (blurred background, enhanced colours and brightness). I stand to be corrected, but if you have an original, straight out of the camera save for saving it for the web, I'd be interested to see it. In fact, I'd bet large money that this has been subject to software jiggery pokery.

Subtle changes can make the world of difference (witness 360 to 360CS).

Hamman - looks like he has a stock of giant false finger nails and tries to stick them wherever they'll go. Seems like stocks didn't run out before the 430 was released.

And the wheels came off a Merc surely.

As ever, each to his own. But if you'd asked me what profession the owner was in, I'd have been spot on with guess no.1.

I'd like to see the original version too. Whilst the photoshopping is nice for making an arty picture out of a photo, it doesn't help if we are objectively discussing whether we like the actual vehicle and body kit or not.

other than adding the border, and text its a straight shot
lens was a 28mm. F stop was 2.8 (hence the shallow depth of field) and blurred background - shutter speed 250. camera angle very low.
a white 'flag' to my left, and a large silver reflector to my right. digital camera used, colour setting: 'chroma' with a custom white balance. raw TIFF file saved at maximum resolution.

Is that seriously all? If it is, I'm staggered - I've never seen a genuine image look so 'shopped before :)

E.g. the car and road look monochromed to me (the badge has gone black - though I suppose it my no longer be a Ferrari badge) and the lighting on the metal looks unnatural for a colour image. The difference between bushes and the foreground also looks marked (more so than you would get with DoF).

Have Hamman lowered the car too?

    Just goes to show...

Still don't like the bodykit mind :D

No he didnt wait five years, in his own words, and i asked his permission before posting this comment:

Couldn't have put it better myself. Or maybe I could - I was just thinking "what a nob". Yours is the more scholarly version though.

    Check this link out...

    http://streetdream.de/cars/hamann/430/430_02.html

This looks like the same car/pic to me, but hey I'm no expert. Same position, same angle, same reflections on the bonnet, even the wheel bolts line up in exactly the same place. If you look really carefully then you will see a small white dot which appears on the driver side air intake in the front bumper (on the far right of the scoop) on both pictures...

Even the Hamman stickers on windscreen, bonnet, wings are in the same place. And why did your footballer client put Hamann number plates on the car? You can see the Hamann logo on the number plate.

And if 70k a week buys you anything then you should be able to afford a rhd.
