    Hey all!
First time post. What do you use to hold your phones and where do you put it? I am currently using that little spot right in front of the shifter and constantly play "Which side is it going to fall off of?" Love to hear some suggestions.
    Thanks in advance!

As a motorcycle rider with multiple cars I use the ram mounts system - the x grip holds my phone well. I move the suction cup full set up between my cars. On the gt4 I tend to mount it towards the top. Near the mirror. Though I’d like to put it on some type of custom plate that matches the anodizing of the dashboard and looks kind of oem. I removed the arm from there and it clips on a ball mount in my Ducati. It hold’s well and quick in and out.

Haha, yes! I play the same game with my phone. I, much like sltillim, have searched for something that might look OEM if phones had existed in 1975 (for my 308 GT4) - but no luck. While suction cups are good, and the RAM system is very reliable, I'm just not a fan of sticking things to my window with suctions cups in general (I don't do that in any car I own). All that being said, a friend with a 328 bought a piece of non-slip material (kind of like that stuff you put under a rug on a hard-surface floor to keep it from moving) and cut it to size. He puts that down on his center console, and lays his phone on top. As long as you're just looking for an easy access place to set the phone while driving, that seems to do the trick for my buddy… and I might do the same!

the tray in front of the shifter fits my phone perfectly, and as I can't reach it, it means people can't reach me! Perfect!

Although I just toss the phone in the passenger seat - almost never have a passenger - there are lot of different mounts for phones that can be clamped temporarily to just about anything. Seems like it could even clamp to the steering wheel if you wanted the phone really handy/close to line-of-sight for GPS or data or video. Here are some that clamp to a guitar headstock that might work for the steering wheel https://www.amazon.com/iphone-holder-guitar/s?k=iphone+holder+for+guitar

    Great suggestions!
    I see the advantages.
I keep my phone in my pocket, on silent. It's very secure. The 308 is the only car I own without some sort of screen to look at. Personally I like it that way.

I don’t see anything wrong with the windshield mount way. In fact, I have put a USB charging port with voltmeter in the small shelf on the left driver’s side to allow me to keep the phone charged while driving. (The “069” is the temperature in my garage; I also have a remote thermistor in my front grille for outside temperature.)

… the only problem is my friends accuse me of looking like an Uber driver.
