I have been looking for a decent solution to put my phone in a holder in the F12. Air vent mount is not it for me, vents are to flexible so phone jumps up and down all the time. Other options like installing on the bridge between the seats either did not fit or looked too cheap IMO. So I looked for a so called proclip from Brodit. They did not have one for the F12 but by looking at images of their various models I found one that could do the trick, the “ Brodit Proclip Volvo XC60/S60/V60 2018- console mount” . Ordered one and tried it out, near perfection. See images below. Not really neccesary but I slightly bent the upper part a bit forward, after heating it, so that it alligned better with the upper edge of the console, see first image showing what I mean by a black arrow.
In addition to the Proclip you have to order the right holder for your phone, that is screwed to the Proclip. Good position, can still access all buttons, phone is in reach and screen visibility is good as well.

Nice work! I ran into the same problem in my 911. Not always easy to source something that fits and looks factory.

    Okay few questions.

1.) With the way it mounts do you foresee it causing any damage to the console in that area?

2.) Does it hold under high G loads (aggressive acceleration and cornering)? That was my biggest issue with previous cars of mine. Lots of trial and error of returning. Most mounts tend to hold for the boring driver in a 120hp commuter who never takes a turn faster than 15 MPH. The second you go have fun either the phone falls out or the mount moved.

3.) So I have a Pixel 6 Pro so basically buy that and buy one of these? ....and if I upgrade phone get one of similar size or just swap out the mount?

    Hi,
1.) With the way it mounts do you foresee it causing any damage to the console in that area?
Not the way I mounted it IMO. There is a piece of adhesive tape at the inside of the upper edge of the clip to stick it to the upper edge of the console. I did not use that because I am afraid that can damage the leather when removing. Put some linnen tape at that spot, same at the inside of the lower edge of the clip to prevent any change of damage.

Well I did not try it on the track yet, and weather so far has not been very inviting to drive full throttle. I think it sits pretty tight, phone for sure will not fall out of the cradle.

3.) So I have a Pixel 6 Pro so basically buy that and buy one of these? ....and if I upgrade phone get one of similar size or just swap out the mount?

Yes, and since the holder you are looking at is adjustable with a bit of luck it can be adjusted to fit the new phone.

So I just did a webchat with ProClip and I can paraphrase the conversation. I removed most of the links for product suggestions it's essentially most of the universal options that they have on their website.

    CONVERSATION:

    You
Looking for a mount for a car not listed

    ProClipUSA
    Hello, thanks for reaching out!
What make, model, year vehicle do you have?

    You
    2017 Ferrari F12

    ProClipUSA
Nice vehicle! We currently don't have any mounts specific to Ferrari Vehicles or the F12, however, we do have universal options that may be compatible with your vehicle. I will provide those options below

    You
can I show you what someone did? Tell me if you think it'll damage the car?

Someone on the forums bought one for a 2018 Volvo and said it fit and clipped here. Would this damage it?
    uploaded file:
that's the four photos they sent me and used the Volvo mount

    ProClipUSA
As each mount is designed for a specific vehicle, we can not guarantee that it would be compatible with your vehicle, and it may damage your interior.

    You
that's what I figured it's designed to clip on plastic moldings essentially not leather yes?

    ProClipUSA
Yes, the exact fit mounts are designed to fit in the seams of the dash via friction fit and not on the material itself

    You
okay bummer. If I did take the chance and it didn't work is it an easy return process with your company?

    ProClipUSA
Yes it is, however, after reviewing the photos, it appears that its only held on by the adhesive at the top. This would not provide the hold the mount is designed for. I would recommend viewing one of our adjustable console mounts
Are you in the Madison, Wisconsin area?

    You
got it. No I'm in "XXXXX"

    ProClipUSA
Yes. and I see. If you are ever near our facility in the area, if you would give us permission to use your vehicle to design and produce a mount, we would provide that mount free of charge :)

    You
someone made the post on ferrarichat. I'll mention your suggestion and see if someone bites!

    ProClipUSA
Sounds good. That interior is gorgeous by the way.
If you would like, I can make a car request and put your email on the list to see be notified if we ever release that mount.

    You
thank you. Great car just zero mounting points and with circular vents it's a pain to mount there's really no plastic to clip around easily. Sounds good XXXXXX is my email. There's plenty of people on the forum there that are looking for a solution

    ProClipUSA
Oh I am sure. A very popular option would be the pedestal suction cup mount I provided above. Its extremely strong

    Rainier,
Do you think the mount would work in a RHD car ?
It would have to fit on the what would be the drivers side in your car, so the mount on top of the clip would need to be rotatable through 360 degrees.
    I guess ?

I personally would not trade phone addiction for damaged interior in an F12. Too special of a car IMO.

That is exactly the reason why I chose this solution. As long as you do not use the adhesive sticker there is no damage. And I am not addicted to my phone (well, a bit maybe :) ) but use it for navigation, traffic and speed camera's. Therefore find it handy to have it in a secure and visible place.

HI, No, that will not work. If you install it mirrored the mounting plate for the holder is pointed to the front of the car and it is not rotatable. Not sure if they have this proclip for RHD cars?

I doubt they do mounts for RHD but will try to find out.

That leather is very thin there with no padding and some of these devices are heavy. It will undoubtably leave marks at the contact areas. I don't own a phone and would not have time to look away from the road at the acceleration in the F12. Sometimes I have a passenger and they will assuredly have a phone and can worry about navigation, etc. Meanwhile, I try to savor every minute behind the wheel.

Great find! Imho, I'd still like the device mounted higher, ie dash/vent level, until the day when my eyes can move independently of each other like a chamaleon;)

I tried a mount on the vents, I think they move far too easily for a stable mount, the shape doesn’t help either.
I will order a RHD version of Reinier’s mount and see how I get on

I did this. Just unscrew the center vent and replace it with a thin round plastic sheet. Screw it back together. Completely reversible at any time, without any sign.

The arms and suction mount are available from Ram mounts. They are from Nav systems but they also do phone.

Care to post a "how to" with re-configuring that center vent. I like the idea that it's completely reversible.
