It was a great end to a long season, with a class win by #62 Risi Competition. Giancarlo Fisichella, Toni Vilander, and James Calado fought it out with the the Ford Gt. always good to have some F1 blood in there. Now this was really odd. My Sister and I signed car #60, the Michael Shank Racing car. And, it won the overall race, the last race of Prototypes, end of an Era. I was strange watching this car go around the track with my name below the front windshield. The last time I signed a car, they disbanded, it was the Falken Tire Porsche. But it has to be all the others. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I thought the Barbosa had the best shoes, they were painted by his kids. They looked sharp. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
this is a funny shot. The ferrari looks so huge. Like a chicken on a junebug.... or a Panamera..... make that a 911. I did watch from the Porsche Lounge thing, and saw a car outside and thought it was a Panamera I was going to look over..... it was a 911. Man, those poor beast have swelled up. I loved the pit road interview with Christina Nielsen when she climb d out of the car. She needed a minimum 3 hour drive time to claim the championship. The team decided to just leave her in there for the first three hours and change. When she pitted and got out of the car, she didn't even take her helmet off right away, just lay down on the pit wall, exhausted. When she sat up and the pit lane reporter asked the obligatory 'you've just won the championship, how do you feel' question, she replied... "I feel like (bleep)!" and started to motion the crew to bring her a drink. I really like her not only as a driver, but a character! Congratulations to her for this year, and all the best for 2017.
